Physics and Math Lessons for middle and high school students

Hello! I'm Francesco, a 24-year-old student currently pursuing a Master's degree in Climate Physics at Utrecht University. I completed my undergraduate studies in Physics last year. Since then, I've relocated to the Netherlands to delve deeper into the fascinating field of climate physics.

For the past six years, I've been actively involved in teaching Physics, Math, and Science to students ranging from 12 to 20 years old. My primary objective in these lessons is to equip students with effective study methods. I believe that students should attend my classes not only to grasp the subject matter
but also to acquire a systematic approach to learning that they can apply independently at home.

About Me

Hello! I'm Francesco from Italy, a 24-year-old student enrolled in the Climate Physics Master Programme at the University of Utrecht. With more than 6 years of tutoring experience, my focus has primarily been on Physics and Math. However, I've also taught Science, Chemistry, and English in my previous tutoring endeavors.

With 6 years' experience in private teaching, my approach is very efficient. Recognising that each student is unique, I try to tailor my lessons to their learning style, and provide advice where this is ineffective.

In the past, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, each with their own personal strengths and challenges. In addition, I contributed to an after-school programme in Bologna where I provided support to students with mild disabilities. This experience has greatly enriched my teaching approach.

My lessons last at least an hour, and I tend to put a lot of emphasis on providing my students with an effective study method, rather than just imparting the concepts needed for the next examIn fact, my main objective is to provide the student with the necessary skills to become autonomous in their studies. To achieve this goal, I tend to prefer a short course with the students (reasoned together) rather than single sporadic lessons.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacher
I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Reza
Tutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering courses
I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). My extensive teaching experience covers a wide range of engineering courses, including: - Mathematics: algebra, linear algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics. - Mechanical Engineering: Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, and more. - Physics: mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc. - CAD/CAM Software: Autocad, Solidworks. - Mechanical Design Packages: ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA. My research and teaching interests are diverse, including: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction I understand that not all teachers excel in teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and explaining their importance to students. Courses with strong mathematical backgrounds may become boring for students who lack a solid mathematical basis. To address this, I take a student-centered approach, starting from the basics to actively engage all students, including those with weaker mathematical backgrounds. I also provide practical examples to demonstrate the real-world significance of what they are learning, inspiring and fostering their interest in the subject matter. If you have any additional questions before starting a class, please feel free to ask me. I am here to assist! :)

Math tutoring for high school students
As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material! We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition. The sessions generally take place according to the following stages: 1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps. 2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises. 3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach. 4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course. I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach. In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

Benjamin
Tutoring in physics and mathematics, primary to university level
During a regular school curriculum, the material to be assimilated can be considerable, so much so that many concepts are only understood superficially, just enough to pass an exam. In my opinion, it is essential to establish a solid foundation before building new knowledge. The course is therefore structured as follows: - Review of relevant physical and mathematical concepts prior to the course. - Course overview: We identify the key concepts, what is well understood and less well understood by the student, in which case misunderstandings are addressed. - Practice: We put new concepts into practice through a series of exercises aimed at anchoring the learning. - Summary: I like to conclude each session with a discussion where the roles are reversed: the student explains the concepts covered in their own words. It is often by trying to teach in turn that we highlight our misunderstandings — and really consolidate our knowledge! "If you cannot explain something simply, it is because you have not understood it well." - Albert Einstein - Written record: I give lessons via videoconference, with a tablet and stylus as a visual aid. Notes are taken on Notability and are shared at the end of the session.
