I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

About Me

Hello, my name is Marcel, I am Dutch and I love languages. I really enjoy teaching languages or practicing them either by speaking, reading or writing. I have lived in several different European countries and have met a lot of different people with different accents. I learned French in France, but now I've been living in Brussels for 20 years. Today I speak French fluently, but it didn't happen overnight, so I know the difficulties of learning another language. I am married and a father of two children (14 and 11) whom I educate in Dutch. As they grow up in a predominantly French-speaking environment, I see and work with them the problems they encounter. I also take Russian lessons (so I know what it's like to be a student). I can teach in French, English, German, Russian and of course in Dutch :-) Looking forward to meeting you!

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

Everyone learns in their own way. Some people learn languages intuitively by engaging in conversations. Others need rigorous exposure to grammatical concepts before launching into practice...in short, there are as many ways to learn as there are students! This is why I do not adopt a rigid method, but rather I adapt to the specificities of each student. My name is Ségolène (26 years old). I have a double degree from KULeuven with a Master of Business Administration (NL/EN) as well as the agrégation (Educatieve Master). I worked for 2 years in insurance and currently work at Odoo.

My mother tongue is French, but from a very young age, I was educated in Dutch, which allowed me to become perfectly bilingual. I love supporting my students and seeing them progress.
