The goal of this class is to prepare students towards Maths GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level examinations. Classes are also available for American university applicants looking to prepare for the Maths SAT exams. Lessons consist of a starter based on a previous topic or background knowledge needed for the new topic. Then the concept is taught, using visual aids and real world examples so that students understand how different concepts are related and how they can be applied to different situations. Before the end of each class students are provided with an opportunity to practice what they have learned. If students are preparing for exams, the main focus of the lesson would be to teach problem solving skills adequate for each type of question, review key concepts and provide exam style questions for students to practice.

Currently in my second year of a Bachelor in Bioengineering at EPFL, I offer tutoring from middle school to highschool level in maths, biology and chemistry. I also offer help to prepare for tests and exams. I practice these classes daily and I always had excellent grades in them. I am also used to helping struggling students. I mainly work with problem solving to understand where the difficulties come from and work on them with the student. It allows the student to develop an excellent understanding of the theory, as well as a nice inventory of classic problems, often asked during tests.
