Dear Music Students, I am an American guitarist, composer, and teacher from the US newly relocated to the Netherlands, based in Delft and offering music lessons at home in my living room and at my studio location in the Hague. I did my bachelor's in guitar performance at Berklee College of Music where I specialized in Jazz, and hold master's degrees from Yerevan State Conservatory and Royal Conservatoire Antwerp where I specialized in Composition and Electronic music. While my background is in Jazz my interests have always been broad and I'm happy to work with students at a variety of levels of experience, stylistic backgrounds and interests. Whether you are new to music and to the guitar and want to just learn the basics and strum the chords to some songs or are already interested in more advanced techniques and challenging pieces I'm sure with my background, education and experience that I can be a helpful resource for you. I do understand a bit of Dutch but I don't speak well yet so my lessons are taught in English. Hello everybody! My name is Wissam. I am from Egypt but I live in the Netherlands. I have been in the career of teaching for 16 years. I hold a master's degree in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language from the American University in Cairo (AUC). I am a professional certified trainer as well as a certified Language instructor from the American university in Cairo. I have taught Arabic inside Egypt at AUC and abroad at Leiden University in the Netherlands. I teach all levels of Arabic including beginners, intermediate and advanced. We will make exercises from your own workbook to see if you understand it and you can learn from mistakes so that you don't make them again on your test. We will also practice reading texts from old exams because that will be your final exam later on. Usually the grades of my tutors go up quickly. Looking to improve your singing, gain confidence, and express yourself better? I am a voice teacher with over 3 years of experience teaching students from ages 5 to adults. I have taught over 40 students in all genres, classical, musical theatre, and pop, and have successfully prepared them for ABRSM and Trinity exams. I believe that singing is innate to all of us, and if you can speak, you can sing! My class structure depends on your goals and starting point. During your lesson, we will explore your vocal profile and your goals, and I will show some of the vocal exercises that may help you. You can also bring a song you like, and we can work on the vocal technique, text, and facial or body expression. You can then decide if we are a good fit for one another. A singing class for children is very different from a class for adults. For example, with younger children, we do more vocal exploration and movement, to ensure that they build a love for music and to protect their voice. With adults looking to audition for semi-professional to professional jobs, we work on building a practical practice plan for your own vocal gym. For vocational adult amateurs, we may work on more songs than vocal exercises. I have a Master of Music in Singing (Classical) at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, and previously graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. I've received training in contemporary pop singing style with Meredith Colby's Neuro-Vocal Method, and also believe in the body-based Alexander Technique method of posture alignment. I regularly go for voice teacher training to make sure I stay updated with factual, anatomy-based methods. You can contact me for extra German lessons at any level. This may include speaking, reading and writing skills, but also grammar, literary history or exam training. I myself have a broad German education: MO-A, MO-B and doctoraal. The school I went to was a “Liceo Scientifico”, characterized for giving an accurate and complete preparation in scientific subjects such as Maths and Physics as well as more humanistic disciplines, for example Latin, Italian literature, Art and Philosophy. Two years ago I lived for a year in Chile through an exchange program that gave me the chance to study for a year in South America.
