Computer courses for college and/or university students

As a math teacher, I offer private lessons in science subjects. My classes are mainly aimed at cycle and college students in Geneva, as well as students from private schools. I can also help people who have already finished their schooling but who need to upgrade their knowledge for professional needs. I am generally available within 3 days of your request and I move around the canton of Geneva using public transport (TPG). Travel costs are included in my rates. For a long-term follow-up, I can give you exercises to do between sessions and correct them at home. I speak and understand English, but my lessons will be mainly in French. I am ready to adapt my teaching according to your specific needs and to provide personalized support to help you progress in scientific subjects. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from EPFL, and I am currently a 2nd year student of a Master's degree in Communication Systems at EPFL. I am available to assist you in your revisions, whether by helping you understand certain concepts, solving exercises or anything else that could help you. With an average higher than 5/6 in the Bachelor, my skills in mathematics and computer science (whether theoretical or programming) are solid to help students ranging from primary school to the beginning of the Bachelor. Having been an assistant in EPFL courses on several occasions, I particularly enjoy helping my students understand concepts with which they have difficulty, by giving them a new vision. This course is intended for people who need help with their programming, academic or personal projects. I can easily help you develop a project in Java, C, Python, Scala, VHDL, having carried out many of them myself and helped a certain number of students to carry out theirs. I help in particular with the realization of projects from programming courses in the EPFL and UNIL programs, having followed and taught them myself, so I know the program well. I have been programming since I was 14 and have created several projects, from high school to graduate school. This course is therefore intended for all levels, for people wishing to start but also for middle school or high school graduates needing help in their courses. I have already taught programming and project monitoring courses in Java and would be happy to help you achieve your goal, adapting to the level and pace / pedagogy needed by anyone. Classes take place mainly at my home or on the EPFL campus, I can also travel by public transport to your home.

Graduate student of a CFC as well as a professional maturity, I propose courses of preparation for exams of CFC in management, economy and ICA for the profiles B and E. My teaching method is to identify and fill the gaps of my students by providing them with clear and logical methods that I learned during my training. Master student and holder of a bachelor's degree in mathematics, offers individualized pedagogy, assistance in the preparation of questions or exams through motivations and learning techniques to which students and learners are very receptive. My goal is to make the student progress without overloading him, to allow him to assimilate the content of his lessons and to master the different techniques of solving his exercises. I periodically provide progress reports.

I offer courses in basic computer science (office automation) or web programming (HTML, CSS) for beginners or amateurs. I can also offer rudimentary computer lessons (navigation on a desktop environment, basic programs, machine operation) if necessary. I adapt the course to the needs of the student. We will learn the essentials of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint before moving on to the online form of Google Drive sharing trend, which includes Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Presentation. A course to introduce the basics of programming in C ++ or Python of your choice (possibility of doing both). From "Hello world" to an introduction to object oriented programming. This course is a good option for students who want to prepare for their first year at EPFL. No minimum duration but it is recommended to do at least 10 weeks of lessons. (Note that the pace of the course depends on the student's difficulties.)
