The lessons offered: - Bass Guitar: on all levels, focusing on developing good technique, leaning a lot of music and finding new challenges. Focus can be on any subject the student decides and will take it further from there. - Improvisation techniques: on all levels and all instruments, you don't have to be a bass player to take that lesson. We will deal with many different ways to approach improvisation in modern music, based on the ideas and classes from teachers like Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, David Santoro, Steve Rochinski and Bruce Gertz. - Jazz and Classical Music Theory, Arranging and Composition: providing many different book and different perspectives on music theory, learn how to analyze music and utilize all the ideas and concepts to create our own music and take it a step further. Techniques for arranging and composition, from small groups to big band writing. - Music of the world: Discover music from all around the world, focusing on learning the styles, the history and the tradition of music from West Africa, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru. We will focus on the rhythmic aspect of different genres of world music and we will create an understanding of the feel of each different style.

This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano. In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music.
