I teach and specialize in tutoring Sciences at KS3 and SATS. I teach and specialize in tutoring KS4 Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). I have been teaching since 2016. Prior to teaching, I was a Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist. I use the experience from industry to teach the current topics in the New GCSE and KS3 curriculum. I work with two exam boards and I am a trained facilitator.
My aim is to making education exciting and accessible to all. I assign homework after every lesson to establish progress made over time. I keep a log of student progress over time. The student will be taught content abd tested periodically.

I am a strong confident and inspirational teacher of Science with a philosophical approach of only the best and everyone matters. I worked in the Pharmaceutical and Food industry for seven and half years becoming a Senior Scientist and specialising as a Mass Spectroscopist. After successfully completing my GTP programme, I completed my NQT. I further enhanced my career by gaining a position as Deputy Head of Science and Head of Department for Chemistry. Being a STEM coordinator in all my teaching positions. I have won BP Young Scientist award in 2015 and 2018. I have provided training to NQT, SCITT and at whole school INSET/assemblies and currently involved in developing the whole school Curriculum Planning for 2016. For me, the rewards and challenges of teaching offer a sense of achievement that is enhanced by the knowledge that I have had some impact on the academic and personal development of the children I teach. I believe in developing with the children a supportive classroom environment, which has a basis in quickly developing rapport with the children, and using positive reinforcement strategies. I pride myself on my flexibility and my enthusiasm to learn and grow as a teacher. Worked with AQA as a A-level Practical Skills Adviser and for last 3 years been an Associate examiner with EDEXCEL for A Level and GCSE Chemistry . Been awarded a Gold Author for TES. Achieved Associate Facilitator qualification in 2019 with National Science Learning Centre York.

The lessons run as follows. First, we look together for the student's biggest stumbling blocks. These can be related to the subject matter as well as to the study method. From there, I work at the pace of the student and encourage them to ask as many questions as possible. I also give tips and tricks, and improve their working methods where necessary. During the lesson I give many examples to make the subject matter more interesting and we solve exercises together. Once practiced from the lesson, I mastered challenging exercises to also test the deeper understanding of the subject matter. In this way I try to optimally prepare the student for his/her exam test.

However, learning should also be enjoyable. That is why I always strive for a bond with the student through a spontaneous and positive approach. I am also very patient. All this to solve and improve the problems.
