What we will do during our lessons together:

Music Theory lessons:
- For Beginners, we will focus on hearing and differentiating notes, rhythmic patterns, singing melodies and how to have fun with music.
- For with experience, we will focus on music theory, harmonisation, dictation and singing and how we can use them in music.

Early music education:
For the ages between 2 to 4, the parents will need to be there
Ages 2-4: We will explore different sounds and textures of the instruments, sing fun songs and play musical tools freely along with different songs.
Ages 5-6: We will sing and play different fun songs, practice melodic and rhythmical memory and play different musical games.
Ages 7-8: We will sing and play songs, practice melodic and rhythmical memory and learning musical notation.

Lessons via webcam are also possible

Musical İmprovisation on piano for adults and children (Jazz, Pop, Classical, free-style)

- The student will learn how to create music on the spot and explore their musical language in a free and fun environment.
- If the student wants to, we can also learn chord progressions in Pop and classical music and improvise based on them.
- For Jazz, we will improvise melody lines on top of some already written songs.

Aleksandra is a trained singer, singing teacher and choir conductor from the Academy of Music in Gdansk and Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona.

She took to the stage in her childhood and has been teaching music for the last 6 years.

For several years she was a chorister of the prestigious Polish National Youth Choir and leader of Vocal Quintet Solifonia. Currently, she is a choir conductor and the founder of CHOIR CLUB in Korskolen.

What can you expect from her teaching?

She believes that singing can be passion, a communication tool, a means of therapy and so much more: more than you can imagine!

In her classes, you will learn key vocal techniques as well as learning to understand your voice. You will discover the deeper meanings of the songs you sing as you seek to express them to the world.

As she is working towards becoming an Accredited Teacher of IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix) she focuses on delivering teaching based on the Mix principles: by mixing the chest and head voice you receive the full benefits of “both voices”: the natural and powerful sound of the chest voice, and the beauty and range of the head voice. As a singer learns to sing using both of these resonances and trains the vocal folds to stay together, it is possible to vocalize smoothly and evenly from one register to the next. The relationship of the two elements working together will create an even, smooth vocalization and, as a result, eliminates the “breaks” in the voice.

She has a good knowledge of playing the piano, so you can sing along to her accompaniment or accompany yourself under her supervision.

I am a professional percussion player. I graduated from The Royal Danish Music Academy in 2017 and I am currently attending the soloist postgraduate course.

Choosing to do music can serve different roles in our lives. It can be a fun hobby and a way to find a private creative space or it can become a profession and a dedicated life choice. My approach to the lessons will therefore change accordingly. In my teaching I like to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with each student according to his/her personality and individuality in order to make each lesson as advantageous as possible.
I always hope to encourage within my students a very deep commitment to their instruments and the practice of music.

I am very happy to work both with beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

With beginners I think it’s important to build a solid technical basis and knowledge of music and solfége and to work on how to build a productive practice routine. Lessons will be structured differently according to the individual, his age and goals, but keeping in mind these targets.

When working with more advanced students I like to move the focus more and more to a deeper approach to the music and its meaning. Technic becomes the means to let the musician speak himself through the music he is playing. I think it is very important to let anyone find his own voice in music and explore different genres of music in order to find the one that suits you best.

Hej!

I'm Marshall, an Australian violinist currently living and studying in Copenhagen. I have just started the second year of my Masters's degree at The Royal Danish Academy of Music studying with Elisabeth Schneider. Along with my studies, I am a casual violinist with the Aarhus & Göteborg Symphony Orchestras.

Prior to moving to Denmark I studied for my bachelor's degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on a full scholarship and have participated in the Mozarteum International Summer Academy.

I have been teaching violin/viola since 2015 and in 2020-2021 I was employed by the West Australian Department of Education to teach violin/viola to primary school students. Each and every student is different, so I try and cater to their learning experience. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have experience with the violin/viola, I can help you with your musical journey. In each lesson, I focus on building a strong technical foundation, understanding music theory, and learning repertoire. I aim to make it a positive learning environment for both students & teachers. Have you been trying to teach yourself the guitar and still find it a pain to play? Or have you been taking lessons and still feel restricted and unhappy? Do not fear, Yvette (she/her) is here to help! With my classes, not only will you learn to play with ease, you will also be able to crack the code of music, so you will understand how notes, chords, rhythm and music theory relate to each other. You will no longer be simply playing through mindless memorization or repetition. You will also learn how to listen to yourself and recognize when you have played well, and when you have made mistakes.
Although I am classically trained, I started guitar playing rhythmic music, such as nirvana and the beatles, and I still have a deep understanding of the style and have taught it for years. I aim to teach guitar the right way, without taking short cuts that limit knowledge and development later on. I have a personalised approach to each student, refusing to force them to play exactly as I do, but helping them to refine their own innate technique. The kanun is an instrument of the zither family, used historically in various cultures including Arabic, Armenian, Turkish and Greek. I am a professional performer and hold a Bachelor's degree in Musicology from the University of Ioannina (Greece), specializing in the kanun.
In the lesson we will be focusing on technique, repertoire (mainly Greek and Ottoman), makam theory and elements of taksim improvisation. The level and pace of lessons will completely adapt to the needs and interests of each student.
