Hello, I'm Ipek. I just moved from Turkey to Amsterdam. I studied Music Teaching at Uludağ University in Turkey (my diploma is valid all over Europe). My main instruments are clarinet and piano. I have an art school in Turkey that teaches music, painting and creative drama. Teach with different approaches according to everyone's perception is what I like the most!! My name is Mathilde, I am a French violinist, pianist, harpsichordist, producer and composer.
I have graduated from the world’s great institutions such as the Royal College of Music London, Manhattan School of Music New-York, Brussels Royal Conservatory, and Paris-Sorbonne University (in musicology).
I have been performing concerts around the world in the most prestigious concert halls including the Châtelet Theatre and Seine Musicale (Paris), the National Opera House (Oman) and La Scala (Milan), as well as many other venues in Europe, US, China, Middle-East. During this period of time, I had been playing in the Orchestra Academy of La Scala in Milan for 2 years, and I am currently playing at the Metropole Orkest in Amsterdam.

With the experiences I gained over the years - including the teaching experience in the Conservatory of Cambrai (France) - I became an expert in teaching violin and keyboards as well as music theory, including writing and reading scores. I have been teaching to the different age groups and different levels of technical backgrounds (beginner or advanced). I can easily adapt myself to the level of each student to create a synchronicity and help them pursue their goals and wishes. I am there to help them as a teacher and a music coach for their musical career. I can combine different practices and teach basic techniques in repertoire that matches the personality of the student (from classical to contemporary, pop, rock and more). Based on the teaching experiences I have, I can consider myself as a teacher with patience, motivating style and an open mind. My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory.
I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams.
As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house.

My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises.
With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement.
I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level.

Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same.

Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Hey! My name is Daan and I am a keyboard player, producer and songwriter and I am happy to teach piano at your home in Amsterdam.

I graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam pop department and am also very active in bands (as a keyboardist, singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer) and as a producer/songwriter in various genres.
