I am a native English speaker from the state of California on the west coast of the United States.

I love music. I play the ukulele poorly but with great enthusiasm. I’ve also played piano and guitar and I sang in a band for a while.

I love animals. I’ve bred giant Newfoundland dogs and Bengal cats, had a bunny, lots of chickens (all with names), several ducks and 2 goats.

I love hiking. I have left a lot of tracks throughout the Sierra Nevada Mountains and have done quite a bit of backpacking with my children. Fun times!

I have been teaching English online for 7 years. I have also taught in a classroom setting but I really enjoy the one-on-one connection I have with my online students. I have taught English to all levels and ages of people - from children to adults in their 70's - from a student with a 15-word vocabulary to university English professors in Europe.
