My name is Luke and I offer Spanish lessons to improve and enhance your knowledge of this amazing language, whether that is preparation for any upcoming exams or if Spanish is a new language that you would like to learn from scratch. I will help you develop and improve in all of the key areas, whether that be speaking, writing, grammar, vocabulary. I am a current undergraduate student at Manchester Metropolitan University, majoring in Spanish and this has been my passion since the age of 11, when I started to learn this beautiful language. In August 2022, I received a grade A in A-Level Spanish. For me, Spain is without a doubt my favourite place to go, as it gives me the chance to do the thing which I love the most, which is speaking Spanish with native speakers. As a writer, you will marry your creative mind with your artistic foresight, creating dynamic pieces of multimedia that ask questions, compel conversation and, most importantly, tell stories. In this class you will gain the key skills required to write a story from start to finish. You will then learn how to develop an idea into a play script for theatre - enquiring into genres of poetry, scriptwriting, and comedy in order to bring your creative endeavours into practical, tangible pieces of art. This class aims to offer you the confidence to use your voice to entertain, engage and provoke. Using storytelling methodologies and a holistic pedagogy, you will be guided through the history of theatre, the birth of voice in entertainment and its ever changing status within the creative arts. You will taught by a graduate of both the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, with a breadth of experience in Writing, Acting and Directing. The craft you learn will be based on the syllabus and Methodologies that i found to be most pertinent professionally and will give you an insight into how I work presently on scriptwriting projects as to further your own understanding of the industry.

I have an Undergraduate degree, and a Postgraduate Masters degree in Psychology. I am an academic support mentor in Liverpool John Moores and Hope University. I have supported Undergraduate students and Postgraduate PhD students with academic writing. I have a Postgraduate qualification in Specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and teach a multi-sensory language programme which targets grammar, punctuation, spelling and handwriting. I have taught students aged 6- 18 to improve their literacy skills and have received consistently good feedback.

I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. A first lesson will give you a sound idea of my pedagogy.
