I'm an EPFL student . I tutor math and English fo all ages . I have been tutoring for a year now and i like seeing how my students keep improving over time, so i assign homework from time to time and do tests once a month to keep monitoring them .

Being too strict doesn't help in building a connection between a teacher and a student , that's why i make sure to be gentle yet sincere with my students to have a relationship of trust and respect so that the sessions go smoothly .

I am an EPFL student at Bioengineering and life sciences (2nd year of Bachelor).
I had my Baccalaureat degree in Morocco in Math option ( so math had always been my passion )

Master of Science in Physics (EPF); experience of teaching math at the gym as alternate;

The program is based on excises and explains the theory through the examples. Evidence and derivations will only be part of our program if the students / students explicitly wish to do so or if they are treated in class and essential to pass the exams. The goal is to understand a complex subject using easy calculations and to be ready for exams.
I do not intend to do a frontal teaching as we know it in school. It is important that we work together on a problem and that we can solve several problems of the same kind.
If you wish, we can speak in English or German (my native language) during class. This can allow you to very easily become familiar with a foreign language. The relaxed atmosphere in a non-school setting can accelerate the learning of a new language, as no one (except me - and I'll forget about it right now) will notice mistakes.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a researcher in nuclear fusion at EPFL, after a PhD at EPFL, a masters at ETH in Zurich and a bachelors in Freiburg, I got quite proficient in maths and physics as well as teaching. I am a postdoctoral researcher in the area of operations research and I propose the following classes:

The key to success in mathematics is to learn how to think outside-the-box. This valuable ability helps mathematicians to solve real problems in today’s world. This course helps to develop that crucial ability and, thus, to understand mathematics.

The beginner and intermediate classes focus on the overall understanding of school mathematics and, particularly, of the topics in
1) Algebra
2) Geometry
3) Introduction to probability

The advanced classes focus on particular fields in mathematics taught at universities (e.g., linear algebra, probability theory, optimisation etc.). I also train for the mathematics section of the GMAT exam.

Enseignant avec plusieurs années d'expérience, mes cours s'adressent à des élèves de 10 à 18 ans, ce qui correspond aux niveaux (Harmos) 7-8H jusqu'à la fin du gymnase dans toutes les matières.
Ma démarche consiste prioritairement à comprendre les aspirations de l'élève-étudiant, de mettre les blocages en lumière afin de pouvoir l'accompagner rapidement pour combler des lacunes qui sont généralement à l'origine des entraves.

Various concerns can arise throughout the course of schooling. Problems of understanding, rigor, desire to go faster or further than the course program ...
I design my lessons with students (from secondary to primary), in order to identify the problems at school, and provide a more appropriate education than that provided by the teachers. Subsequently, children will therefore be better able and trained to meet the criteria required within the school system.
