About Me

I moved to Stockholm from the UK about a year ago and I am loving it here!

Originally I come from a small place in the south of England called Devon; it's full of beaches and woodland and is just beautiful. I then moved to a big city for university and stayed in that area once I met my husband (from the North of England) and we started working there.

At university I studied Drama and English and have been teaching English for 5 years and Drama for 1. I love to have a fun, active and interesting approach to my teaching, which builds great relationships with students. For the past two years I have been a Head of Year, which has involved a lot of pastoral work an has been a fantastic learning curve for me.

Education

I achieved a degree in Drama and Teaching English at Southampton University in the south of England. I completed my degree with a 2:1 BaHons and have QTS through my teaching qualification.

I’m a qualified English teacher with 10+ years of experience from the UK, who moved to Stockholm last month. I majored in English Literature at university and had a year studying Linguistics alongside this, so I’ve studied and taught a variety of subjects within the broader umbrella of ‘English’.
