I have been working as a Spanish, English, and Mandarin Chinese tutor online for two years and work at the Confucius Institute of the Dominican Republic as a mandarin tutor throughout 2019-2020. Over the last year, I have had over 250 students from all over the world and 1000 lessons. More than 100 out of 250 students are kids aged 5-15. For the kids, I will always prepare some extra material, and having a parent during the first lesson is always recommended ;) My main aim is to make you feel comfortable during our lessons, create a comfortable setting for you, and modify the class to your liking. I have a certificated C1-level in both English and German and i'm a native Spanish speaker. I've been tutoring kids from all ages (7 - 17 years old) these past 2 years, so I'm already experienced in this area. What I find specially important to mention is I will always speak in the language the class is about unless the level is really basic of course. In order for the student to learn as efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, mostly on writing and reading, since learning a language requires tenacity. I also recommend parents to make their kids watch tv in the language they're learning.
