Violin and viola lessons for beginners until pre-bachelor level

Violin/viola privet lessons for all levels and ages! I am a viola and violin teacher who graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with a specialization in Education, as a three-year minor course as part of the Bachelor of Music. I am currently studying for my master's at Codarts Rotterdam. I have experience teaching music to kids and teenagers, beginners and advanced levels. Adults are very welcome too! :) We will make music together, I accompany my students with my viola or piano (if any). We will also learn music theory integrated with the instrument class.

I am a young musician who graduated with honors at Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona and now I've come here to continue my studies and have the opportunity of sharing my music with everyone who wants it! Making music is an opportunity that everybody should have in their life. Personally, I think it is a beautiful and alternative way of communication, which opens up new horizons of empathy and it carries important values such as respect and understanding towards others. Being able to play an instrument gives great satisfaction, allows us to have fun, and trains our brain for the complexity of combining the mental and physical spheres at the same time!

I love to play and to teach my instrument. I play in different Orchestras, classical chamber music, and I improvise in contemporary music with body movement. I worked a lot on the body position while playing, which I think is very important in order to release tension in the muscles and feel freer with the instrument. I am very excited to share the knowledge I have with my instrument with you!

Trained across several European countries, I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in performance and have received classes through masterclasses and festivals with renowned international artists from the Berliner Philharmoniker, Nobuko Imai, Morten Carlsen among others. As an orchestral musician, I’ve performed with various national orchestras in Europe, including ensembles based in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Spain, and others. I currently perform actively as both a chamber and orchestral musician. Personalized lessons for all levels – from beginners to advanced. I offer violin, viola, and music theory lessons for all levels. I can adapt to any schedule and need. I have 8 years of experience as a teacher in private classes and music schools. During all these years as a teacher, I have been able to experiment and learn from my students to develop a pedagogical method that is adapted to the needs of each person. My main objective is for the student to learn the technique of the instrument through musicality so that he can enjoy and create while learning. I obtained the Higher Degree in Music in 2015 at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orchestral Specialization from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2017. Recently, I have finished my Master in Musical Interpretation at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen (Belgium) with Cum Laude. My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music. During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups. Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults. As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!
