Violin, Viola and music theory lessons in The Hague

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

The class is for: - beginners who want to start their journey in music - intermediary musicians who wish to improve their skills - for highly educated musicians who want to perfect their knowledge. The class includes songwriting skills in POP, ROCK, JAZZ and many other styles of popular music as well as compositional skills in writing CLASSICAL, FILM, THEATER music. I specialize in both popular music and classical music. The class includes both theoretic knowledge and its practical application with students instrument of choice. The class also includes skills in guitar, piano and percussion playing.

I am teaching all levels, all ages, all kind of stile on the violin or viola. Of course mostly classical, but if you wish we can also play folk, pop or other kind of songs. We can focus on playing, on musicality, technical skills, chamber music, as you wish. We could also do general music education, or basic practical musical skills and training the ears. I don't use one specific method since I feel every person function differently I i like to design something personal what works the best.

Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory. I work with all ages, all levels, and all objectives, and I can even work with other brass. If you want to discover the instrument or perfect it, if you need theory support or practice help, I will adapt my methods to your needs to offer you quality musical time! I have taught children and adults since 2017, and I truly love leading people their way to enjoyable, musical, and informed brass playing. My lessons include warmups, technique, working on pieces of various repertoire, playing in duo with me, and more. For music theory, I like to come up with playful exercises of my own according to the student's needs and level. Horns are so fun !! Discover new instruments, sounds, techniques, and styles.

Hello music enthusiasts! I believe that playing an instrument is a very unique gift and a great tool for developing concentration, expression, and creativity. I would like to take an individual approach with everyone and make sure that the lessons are productive and above all creative, because that's the appeal of music, that we can be the creators of something very beautiful! I would like to cultivate interest in different styles and give space to build and help in the learning process, giving tools for developing technique and musicality, so that you will feel free to express your interpretation and as well, I will try to give you motivation and inspiration. Teacher at Strijkdomain (The Hague), Conservatory in The Hague, Vuurvlinderschool, Geldelandschool en a Het Klooster (Woerden). I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making. I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces. Come and have a lesson with me!

I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced violin and viola lessons to all ages. My lessons are customized for each student’s personality, learning style, and abilities. I put a strong emphasis on developing instrumental techniques and fundamentals. With a good foundation, students are more easily able to express themselves in an imaginative way. I challenge my students with high standards in a learning environment that is fun and engaging. I believe that students learn best when they feel challenged, but also successful and confident about themselves. I am a detail-oriented and rigorous teacher but I find balance through patience and kindness. I maintain a keen awareness of pacing, interests, and motivation so that my students never get bored.

As a 1st violinist in Residentie Orkest (Den Haag), Francisca enjoys using her extra time to teach those who are music or violin enthusiasts. "I firmly believe that passionate and hardworking people can learn and develop their violin skills independently of their current level. However, for that to be possible, it is essential to focus on the background of each individual and accommodate the teaching method according to the student's possibilities and wishes. For the past 7 years I have been living in the Netherlands, I have taught students of different ages, nationalities, and levels. During my studies, I also had the chance to participate in a methodology course, which greatly influenced me as a teacher. Does music appeal to you that way? Can the sounds of the guitar completely enchant you? Would you like to learn to interpret those sounds yourself? Together with my students I look for what they would like to be able to do on the guitar. We discover the instrument and its music in its full glory: the warm sounds, the percussive attack and countless colorful chords. I myself have been playing guitar for 13 years and have just completed (September 2022) my master classical guitar at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven (Belgium). I am currently further specializing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I am extremely passionate about music and love to pass that passion on. No prior knowledge of music is required. Would you like to learn some music? I’m a Master's student at Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. I come from Poland and I have been playing violin for 16 years. I have some experience with teaching both kids and adults. Music is my passion and I would like to share it with others.

Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul. I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays. When it comes to singing, I know some basic techniques and can help with pitch, harmonizing, control, and feeling comfortable/confident when singing. I can teach some basics about improvisation and composition

My name is Carla Peña and I come from Barcelona. Since I was a child, music has played an important role in my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6. I discovered my love for music and that is what I share with my students. I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place! If you are in The Hague area and you want to learn the cello or improve your playing, you are welcome to do lessons with me! FIRST LESSON: The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste. TECHNIQUE: Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge. In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly! Playing together is an essential part of enjoying music. Therefore, the last part of the lesson always consists of playing cello duets and having fun! ABOUT ME: I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota. During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship at the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain. Currently, I teach private students in The Hague and I created a cultural center in The Hague called Pandora Studio. I play regularly in two chamber music ensembles: Trio Jakob and Azalaïs Quartet.

The violin has been with me for a long time. I love to teach everything I learn. I adapt to all levels. It doesn't matter if there is no experience! The desire to learn is the only thing you need for these classes. Through all my professional experience, teaching, participating in orchestras, and my training, I have learned a lot about this wonderful thing that is music.
