Ink and watercolor sketching course - Master ENSAV La Cambre

Hello, my name is Evangelos. Having successfully completed my higher education with an art major of 4 hours per week, I decided to share my knowledge. Art is something magical and among these courses that I would love to share with you, I would like to share my knowledge and the different techniques of drawing and combination of colors and products to apply.

Former graduate student of La Cambre in Visual Communication and Graphic, I offer training courses or support in drawing or graphic design (adobe suite: indesign, photoshop, illustrator ...). I can also help in the preparation of school competitions: book, artistic dossier, etc.

The freehand drawing is the first tool used in designing a building, the daily practice of the architectural design process. In the age of computers, despite its visibility has decreased, freehand drawings have become even more precious; the role of freehand drawing in communicating our ideas and thoughts gives us the opportunity to make use of the simplest intuitive connection between our mind and the hand through exercising our bidimensional skills in order to represent a tridimensional universe. The class will be organised upon the traditional still life drawing technique in atelier/workshop. The student is placed at a distance from the still figure that allows them to place their easel and paper next to the object to be represented. The drawing and the object will be the same size, which allows for easier comparison of distances and angles carefully measured. We will learn hatching technique used to create tonal or shading effects, and many other techniques of drawing elements of design: layer tinting, texturing and form lines. The class includes advanced notions of perspective.

Hello! I propose you drawing lessons or painting fun, because I am convinced that one learns better while having fun. I design courses upstream, depending on the personality and level of each. The two main axes are the technique and the development of the imaginary, the putting into practice of an idea. I can move if you have space for creativity and concentration. Holder of a degree in Fine Arts, but also an animator, I like to share my passion, and has for it a pedagogical know-how. See you soon!

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

You will always need a blank piece of paper and a pencil for class. Some people say that you need fancy materials to make art but that is far from the truth. Using what you have at home is perfect! We will be taking notes each class on techniques and we will also be doing sketches every class. On the first day of class we will start by setting goals for something we want to learn more about in art. I will work with you to gradually get to that place you want. Art is something that you learn just like everything else, putting in the work is part of learning and is needed in the subject of art as well!

As an aspiring artist, it is expected that you want to learn more on the various techniques that artist use to create amazing works of art. This class is aimed to teach you skills needed for art such as anatomy practice, value and many others.

These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting. Your inventiveness and your uniqueness being at the center of your training, it is a question of dwelling on the objective criteria, such as the voice, the use of the body, the relationship with the partner, the capacity to occupy the space. But it is also the singularity and the commitment that are decisive. Figure drawing isn't easy; it requires precision and practice. You must learn the basics of figure drawing to grow your skills. That is why having a strong understanding and practice of your basics is incredibly difficult and important. The basics include the correct method of drawing lines and circles, tips on understanding the anatomically correct proportions of the human body, and the practice of drawing what you see. This is the most challenging aspect of figure drawing, and it requires practice to simply put what you see on paper. It might seem tedious and somewhat useless, but from my experience, it was the foundation I wish someone had taught me. These skills aren't only used for figure drawing, but also for your other drawing endeavors. The class session will entail a step-by-step program based on your performance and progress when accomplishing each skill. I will guide you through a hands-on process to master each lesson. This is meant to curate an environment where you feel accomplished and for you to make mistakes and learn from them.

This course is an in-depth look into drawing. It is intended for students with some drawing experience as a way for them to build upon existing skills, but students of all levels are welcome. We will go over line, form, and structure, beginning with contour line drawings and eventually building up to the student creating their own pieces. We will discuss figurative and non-representational works, as well as how we can utilize different methods of drawing to convey different feelings and emotions.
