I have taught high school students Psychology, and it is a learning experience for me as well. The subject might sometimes come off as too "theoretical" or "boring", but with the right instructor it can turn into the most interesting subject ever! I believe in teaching using dialogue as it helps give the student more autonomy over the material and dialogue helps them engage. I do not believe in rote memorisation as it leads to no good and just helps with word vomit in exams, which is not helpful to anyone. Education should be an enriching experience and not one which you dread. Therefore I also make it a point to use methods which caters to the needs of the student rather than how I would like to teach because at the end of the day I am there to make learning a fun experience for them rather than a convenient one for me. My interest in psychology was sparked over one class with the right teacher and I am hoping I could do the same for you. I absolutely love teaching as it teaches me things too, and I hope I can make it worthwhile for my students as well.
