Private lessons in science subjects

Computer science student at EPFL, mathematics has been an integral part of my studies for a long time, I have already given support courses at different levels so I have a pedagogical spirit and in search of excellence while instilling the enjoyment of mathematics for the pupil / student.

I am doing a thesis at EPFL in analysis. I offer mathematics classes at home or at home, the target audience is mainly first and second year students at the university in maths or engineering. In 2016/2017 I was assistant in charge of the engineering analysis course at EPFL, and the student analysis course in mathematics at EPFL (second semester). In 2017/2018, I was responsible for the two analysis courses (first and second semester) of students in mathematics at EPFL. I am responsible in 2018/2019 for the third year course "Sobolev spaces and elliptic partial differential equations". As a young person, I am aware of the difficulties encountered by students (concerning programs but also stress, and the difficulty of passing an exam). I also see students during exercise sessions as well as individually in my office for questions about the course etc. -I am aware of the requirements of the program, which is expected in these streams since I am responsible for the worksheets and exam correction. I took part in the writing of the exams for students studying engineering and mathematics and decided the scale. (followed by a consultation with teachers and other assistants for the courses with a large number of students, eg 180 for mechanical engineers). I would like to point out that these courses are not necessarily reserved for students in difficulty.

I obtained my bachelor's degree at EPFL in microtechnology almost 2 years ago and I am currently in robotics, in the last year of my master's degree at EPFL. During my course, I was a student assistant in several 1st and 2nd year courses. At the beginning, I will ask you to tell me what you did not understand in your course, it can be very specific or on the contrary, general. Then we'll try to apply the theory to exercises to see if you really understood all the concepts. If so, so much the better, and if not, we'll do the exercise together and I'll try to put you on the right track. You can write to me without further ado before a lesson, so that I can prepare a little for the upcoming session. I can give math lessons up to a university level and/or science in general.

I am a second-year student in the MSc in Molecular and Biological Chemistry at EPFL. I really love to give private lessons of Chemistry, Physics and Maths for high school level and Chemistry for bachelor level. My aim is to give a clear theoretical background to be able afterwards to practice and understand problems. Master student at EPFL, I would be happy to help you (you or your child) for the subjects where you have difficulties! At university, I have been an assistant in Chemistry for the first years of EPFL for a few years as well as for a course linking mathematics and electronics, called Signals and Systems. So I am used to teaching and explaining concepts to students with difficulties. I also give private lessons to students passing the Swiss maturity or the French baccalaureate. To try to see together the difficulties as well as the misunderstandings: we go back to the lesson together, we do an exercise together and then I let the student do it independently and we review together if he is blocked or if we need to correct. Hello I am from Morocco and I am a big science enthusiast. I am currently a student at EPFL and I make available my knowledge in Mathematics and Physics for tutoring and tutoring courses at all levels from primary to secondary. I am only available on weekends, however I can travel wherever suits you, around Lausanne. I can give the course in person as well as remotely (by zoom/Google Meet). The methodology is the key to success for a student in the first year of medicine at the University of Geneva. It must be understood that this methodology is based on a fine balance between "being systematic", (ie ensuring all learning objectives) and "being effective" (ie working on the topics that most often come under discussion). In terms of science learning, I base my courses entirely on multiple-choice questions of two types: -Quest instructional questions: the goal is to check your understanding of the learning objectives; -question "type" exam: to prepare you for the level of difficulty required and get used to answer questions in 2 minutes on the day of the exam. I am a student at EPFL in the fifth year of chemical and biotechnological engineering. I graduated with a French scientific baccalaureate with a specialty in physics and chemistry. I have already given math, physics and chemistry lessons regularly for several years. My goal is to put the student at ease and to encourage him. During my lessons, I usually do exercises with the students because they allow them to better understand the theory of the course by applying it. I can give lessons from the beginning of secondary school until maturity in mathematics.

I finished my Doctorate in Physics at EPFL and now I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English to secondary I and secondary II students. I offer personalized support for each student, while considering their objectives. I help students in difficulty to pass their exams, but also those who want to reach a level of excellence and perhaps go a little beyond the school curricula.
