I am a first year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the courses offered. The student will find a framework where they can ask these questions, discuss methodologies and improve. Putting my knowledge at the service of other people is something I like to share. Master's student in physics having obtained the baccalaureate with very good honors (19.8/20 general average) I happily help in learning mathematics and sciences in general which made me want to study at the EPFL and to come to KTH afterwards. Having several young nephews and nieces and having regularly carried out baby sittings, I am used to supervising children. I love teaching and have always enthusiastically helped my classmates. I have been giving private lessons since 2016 (around 25 students, including one for Analysis I, EPFL). Second year master's student in Energy Science at EPFL, and holder of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the same school, I offer mathematics and physics courses to students from EPFL, UNIL, gymnasium or college. During my studies, I built a solid scientific foundation, but also accumulated a lot of experience as a private teacher. In fact, for 4 years already, I have been teaching: - to first year bachelor's and master's students at EPFL in the mechanical, microtechnology, computer science and biological fields - to UNIL students in the biology, economics and maths sectors - to students in the gymnasium. - to middle school students These experiences allowed me to develop a better approach during my courses. I first try to understand what the student has understood, and what is not well understood. To do this, I suggest doing several exercises together. Then, I re-explain in a simpler way the part in which the student is having difficulty. Finally, I let the student do a new exercise on his own to see if the concept has been acquired. I am very happy to be able to help students in difficulty to progress, because for me the sharing of knowledge is very important. Salvation! My name is André and I have just finished my Doctorate in Physics at EPFL. I offer support courses in Mathematics and Sciences for primary school students. My methods are characterized by personalized support for each student, while considering their objectives. I help students in difficulty to succeed in their learning, but also those who want to reach a level of excellence and perhaps go a little beyond the school programs. I am a student in the second year of a Bachelor of Mathematics at EPFL. In high school I participated in tutoring freshmen twice. It was a question of helping them to organize themselves, and of giving them support lessons in scientific subjects. I also helped friends in economics to progress in math. One of them intended to give up the subject and regained a taste for it when he understood how to go about it. (It went from 5/20 to 18/20) I consider it important to restore the self-confidence of students in difficulty. In addition, my goal during a course is to guide the student towards understanding without chewing on the work because the satisfaction of the work accomplished allows the students to take a liking to the work and therefore to really make them progress.
