I'm a researcher in nuclear fusion at EPFL, after a PhD at EPFL, a masters at ETH in Zurich and a bachelors in Freiburg, I got quite proficient in maths and physics as well as teaching. About Me

After my MSc in Physics at ETH Zurich I've been working as a physicist in a couple of companies, and I've done a PhD at EPFL in physics (finished in 2022) and am working as a data Scientist now. I've been teaching for over 15 years, and have extensive experience for all ages and levels.

I love teaching and I do this for the pleasure of it. Since finishing my phd and starting working I only take one student at the time due to time constraints in order to be able to dedicate properly to the teaching. I prefer long term commitments to be able to build a rapport and understand the student and his/her needs thoroughly, but I might be available for shorter terms too.

Dear Parents,

You have come here seeking help for your child, and you have made the right decision. Public schools play a crucial role in our education, but sometimes they lack the necessary resources to cater to each student individually.

I, too, experienced a challenging academic journey for this very reason. My struggles were not greater than those of others, but the rigid schedule limited my ability to fully flourish. Fortunately, with the support of my parents, I had the opportunity to attend a private school and fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a chemist.

I am now a chemist who holds a degree from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), and on April 11, 2019, I successfully defended a doctoral thesis in experimental physics at the University of Geneva (UNIGE).

However, all this knowledge is only valuable if it can be effectively communicated. As you know, communication is an essential aspect of teaching. There are teachers who can be uninteresting, and then there are others whose passion is contagious. I have often observed that teachers who manage to ignite their students' interest take the time to provide context for what they teach. This approach often sparks curiosity in students, leading them to engage willingly.

I am a second-year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the proposed courses. Third-year physics student at EPFL Lausanne.

The courses are aimed in particular at university students, but also at secondary school students. For those attending EPFL, I can give classes in person. Otherwise, I am also available for online courses. The topics and course delivery are agreed with the students according to their specific needs. They can include both theoretical explanations and the carrying out of practical exercises.

From my own experience, I have found that everyone can understand the most complex concepts, you just need to adopt the right approach and teaching method, which varies from person to person. As it is not always possible to make this important distinction in general courses, my intention is to provide those who need it with help in catching up with the program by filling in gaps and/or doubts. I do not favor a mnemonic approach, but rather a deep understanding of the subject.

I am here to help you with homework or class exercises that you struggled with, and review the course if necessary, as well as teach techniques to facilitate understanding and resolution. With my experience as a student assistant at EPFL, I can help you find your own blockage and I correct you if there is something that is not right at this level. If you get stuck, I ask you questions to guide you towards the solution without telling you directly. If that is not enough, we do the exercise together in a guided way in the hope that you will be able to solve an exercise of the same type alone in the future. I can also find interesting exercises based on your gaps. All students up to and including a university bachelor's level are welcome. Classes are held online via Zoom or in person. I use screen sharing in the case of Zoom, and I can show you my personal type of resolution.

As a third-year Life Sciences student at EPFL, I offer math and physics-chemistry courses for students up to high school level. I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, where I also worked as a student assistant for 4 years, notably for the CMS (Special Mathematics Course), the MAN (Upgrade), as well as for several first-year Bachelor's courses. I also served as a corrector for multiple exam sessions and wrote a handout for a course for Master's students in Mathematics at EPFL. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to support many students in successfully completing their first year, often considered one of the most demanding.

Today, I offer private math lessons for all levels, from compulsory school to the federal maturity, as well as for Bachelor students needing support in subjects with a strong mathematical component.

Passionate about teaching, what I appreciate above all is seeing students' progress, their confidence and their growing understanding. My methodology is based on an intuitive understanding of concepts, through simple and clear examples, as well as structured support in reasoning. I completed my bachelor's degree in computer science, where I studied analysis I–IV, linear algebra, probability, and stochastic processes. I also took several programming courses in the following languages: Python, C, assembler, Scala, and Java.
