I am a professional classical guitarist and lutenist with many years of teaching experience. I tailor lessons to my students' needs and interests. This may mean training a young classical guitarist for a professional career, teaching a beginner to play his or her favorite pop song, or anything in between! Learning to play the lute, mandolin, or ukulele are other possibilities, or perhaps improving one's knowledge of music theory. I have a background in electric guitar, electric bass, and traditional Irish music. Whatever the style or instrument, I always strive to impart or reinforce the fundamentals of technique and musicianship.

Über mich

I am patient and supportive as a teacher. I'm a fairly shy and reserved person, but I really enjoy working one-on-one with students, and sharing my knowledge of music. I consider this type of teaching to be really important to the music profession, and I also like how it can enrich people's personal lives, giving them a way to express themselves, and to concentrate on learning a discipline. While teaching the fundamentals of music is the most crucial task, I also like to think about music history and theory, and enjoy having these sorts of conversations with my students. After a few years of living in The Netherlands, I'm starting to speak some Dutch, so if you want lessons in Dutch that will soon be possible!

I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both teaching individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir.

I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won prizes in competitions and several scholarships prizes.

Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul.
I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.
When it comes to singing, I know some basic techniques and can help with pitch, harmonizing, control, and feeling comfortable/confident when singing.

My name is Juan, I am a Spanish born flutist that works internationally, and nowadays I'm based in Rotterdam. I have already finished two Master degrees and a Bachelor with some of the worlds best professors and institutions: Robert Winn in the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Germany), and Jacques Zoon in Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Madrid).

Since many years, I work and collaborate with many different symphony orchestras as principal flute, soloist or piccolo flute, as well as with chamber music groups and ensembles. You can check the links below to listen some of my performances! :)

I have a very wide teaching experience. I've been teaching for around 10 years now, in many different institutions: high development schools, orchestras, private schools, private students... and nowadays live and/ or online!

I can teach all flute levels, from initiation to preparation for bachelor, master or orchestral auditions. I have a wide knowledge of the repertoire, and I've worked on it with many of the best flutists we have today: Formisano, Baerten, Grehl, Franz... I am from Los Angeles originally where I received my degree in music with a minor in Classical Guitar from California State University, Northridge.

I have been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. Back in those days, I was mostly inspired by rock music, learning to play by ear by listening to the radio. Later, I went to Conservatory and studied classical music, therefore learning in a more structured way. This gives me a unique approach to teaching, because I understand playing by ear and feeling, as well as having a background in music theory. It is a mix of these two worlds that I offer in my lessons. In this way, my students progress quickly while having a basis of how music works so that they can continue to grow for endless years to come.

My approach to teaching is to get lasting results for the students and to make sure they have a great time. The lessons are light and joyful, as music should be. I work hard to make sure my students experience the rewards of reaching new plateaus regularly as they progress. It is also important to me that my students play songs/pieces that they enjoy playing. We will discuss your musical tastes, or work to discover the musical tastes of your child.

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Flute in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Zürich, I recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Early Music and historical flutes at the Koninklijk Conservatorium The Hague. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allows me to continuously refine my teaching approach.
I have more than 10 years of teaching experience and enjoy encouraging curiosity while adapting lessons to each student’s interests and needs. All ages and levels are welcome, and I strive to make learning music both structured and fun.

Bassoon lessons:
In this lessons you will be able to learn how to play the bassoon, to blow and tune, to play in groups, understand the harmonic and melodic system of the interpretation of the different music styles. You will be able to learn how to make your own reeds and how to repair them.
Duration of the lesson is generally 60 minutes, but it can be always the student`s choice. The dynamics of the classes is focused on the interpretation and musical understanding, as well as the elaboration and maintenance of reeds, all looking for a positive, dynamic and fun environment.

Music Theory lessons:
Here you will be able to learn how to understand the composers and their music; historical and theorical reasons of why music is written in different ways during the evolution of music history. You will be also able to learn how to read and sing music. Composition skills are also available.
The duration of the lesson is under choice.

Both bassoon an music theory lessons can be combined.
