Hej och välkommen! Jag heter Sebastian och jag är 31 år gammal. I currently work as a Swedish teacher at the Volksuniversiteit The Hague and I love every minute I can spend with my students. A Volksuniversiteit (litt. folk university) is an institute for non-formal adult education in the Netherlands. I am a Swedish native speaker and general language enthusiast. Besides Swedish I speak English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. Having learned multiple languages myself I am sure that I can successfully teach you Swedish in a fun and relaxed manner. My teaching focus lies on speaking the language as much as possible. Immersion is key to language learning. Think of small children. They are language geniuses. Why? Because they speak as soon as their brains permit them to speak, without worrying about making mistakes. Therefore, it is paramount to start using the newly learned words immediately in order to prime our brains to get comfortable with the new language. Do you already have Swedish knowledge? No problem! Instead of building the basics we can design classes that meet your personal needs and preferences. My classes combine speaking, listening & grammar exercises in interaction with me. Furthermore, I show you Swedish food, music and places. On top of that, I introduce you to the best technological tools (homepages and applications) to boost your language learning and take it to the next level! I am a native English speaker from USA and I specialize in teaching, exam preparation, instruction and text correction for several students and professionals residing in Belgium. As a PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh, I developed a four-part course on the art of essay writing. In just four sessions, I'll teach you how to: 1) must conduct thorough and independent research 2) can best structure your ideas 3) develop a coherent and independent argument 4) write good introductions and conclusions I am also available for thesis support. // Essays are the cornerstone of any Social Science or Humanities degree, but very few students know how to write a good essay. In this course, I will teach you how to consistently write high-quality essays about any topic within the Social Sciences or Humanities. I am a guest lecturer in law in five Universities across Europe and Asia since 2011. I offer individual Serbian lessons for everyone interested in learning the language. The lessons are adapted to the level of the student and the focus of the lessons is based on student´s wishes, preferences or needs. The material for the lessons is prepared by myself with the help of books and in cooperation with the student. I am native Serbian speaker and linguist by education, thus I have necessary knowledge, methodology and experience for language teaching. I have Masters degree in French and Romance languages and literatures from the University of Ljubljana and Université libre de Bruxelles. During and after my studies, I was offering individual and also group language lessons, among others also Serbian language lessons in the European Parliament.

I specialise in tutoring English for school or just to learn the language! I've worked as an editor for a University Newsletter for two years, and am well versed with the language and the vocabulary. The focus can be chosen by the student: I will help you pick up on the speaking skills or the writing skills or both (based on how you chose the focus). The way I teach will be fun, easy and relaxed, adding challenges here and there to drive the focus! I will assign homework regularly and provide with progress reports as well. I currently work within the EU institutions working with many different policy makers. I work on various topics with the students. I am a native English speaker from the UK with a background in Biology and Anthropology. I have professional experience in banking and management. Learning English nowadays is essential and useful to anyone. This is class done only in immersion. I have been teaching English since the age of 16. I design my lessons based on the student's interests and hobbies, changing themes every 1-2 weeks :) My goal is to keep improving my student's English skills all by communicating in English (it is very important to be comfortable with the language). I assign homework after every lesson but if this is not wished it can be changed!

Hey! I want you! :-D My courses are for beginners who have never practiced as much as the more experienced. Having acquired a very good knowledge of English and British culture, I am able to help people who already have a good foundation in this area. I am not limited to young people and am quite open to teaching adults who want to challenge themselves to learn this language or to perfect it. It is important to know that I speak in the target language and that (almost) nothing is said in French. Except for a real misunderstanding, for example, of a grammar point. Similarly, the vocabulary misunderstood will never be translated but will always be explained in English with other words or by mimes or scenarios or by placing it in context. If grammar points are to be addressed, they will be addressed through scenarios, games or context. I favor a more playful approach than a simple study of grammatical rules. Learning is done first and foremost by practice and ... it should always be funny! :-D
