Seen Tung
Piano/Music theory/Composition & Arranging lessons tailored to your needs and wishesHello, this is Seen! I am a pianist, composer and arranger from Hong Kong, currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I am offering piano and music theory lessons tailored to your needs and wishes.
Perhaps you are an enthusiastic adult beginner, or you want to pick it up again after not touching the instrument for some time? Or perhaps you are looking for a teacher for your child? I have been giving music lessons for the past 9 years to students at different levels aging from 5 to 60. I understand that we all approach music in various ways and everyone needs different styles of guidance. I am looking forward to getting to know you and experiment with how I can help you along the way.
Perhaps you want to play pieces from the classical repertoire? Or perhaps you want to acquire the skill of learning your favourite pop songs by ear, or learn to read lead sheets and chord symbols? Perhaps you want to learn to accompany yourself singing? Perhaps you want to learn improvisation over chord progressions? As a musician grew up with classical music training and later moved on to explore jazz and pop, I enjoy helping you to deepen your understanding about different styles and to have fun with playing!
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to improve your piano technique, but get turned off by studies and scale practice? Perhaps you wish to acquire a stronger sense of rhythm or a more sophisticated control of sound? In my experience, advanced technique comes along with a tension-free body and mental space, and we can work on that together. I also find creating unique musical exercises that adapts to students’ needs makes the learning process more enjoyable.
Perhaps you would love to integrate music into your daily life, but find it challenging to keep the momentum and interest in a long term? I try to structure our lessons so that students can see steady progress. I also understand that incorporating a habit can be a tricky part, so we can also develop study and practice plans together and explore ways to make your practice time more efficient.
Perhaps you not only want to learn the instrument, but are also interested about the theories behind the music? Perhaps you want to learn some basic arranging skills and write for an ensemble that you play with? Perhaps you want to try composing your own music? As a composer and arranger, I would also love to share my experience on these subjects with you.
Music is an enormous universe and there are always new territories to explore. I’m still a student on this journey, and I’m more than excited to share my experience and accompany you on your way!

Piano, Keyboard, Harpsichord Lessons; Solfège and Music TheoryMusic has always been one of the central pillars of human expression, whichever the medium or style.
I believe any student's goals and needs can be fulfilled in an interesting and efficient way with the right approach.
On my lessons, I usually focus on the Baroque repertoire and Styles to nurture and develop the student's inherent musical skills, but other styles are also welcome, ultimately the material covered in lesson depends on the student's own curiosity and preferences.

Recorder, flute and piano lessons, from medieval to contemporary music for all ages“An exciting and versatile young recorder player, committed to pushing the boundaries of his instrument” (Erik Bosgraaf, 2021)
Hello!
I am a professional recorder and flute player with a passion for both early and contemporary music, offering lessons on the recorder, flute, piano and in music theory in the Amsterdam area and online.
I graduated from a Masters in recorder at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Cum Laude, with a scholarship from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Previously, I graduated from the Royal College of Music London with a First- Class Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Flute and Recorder. In 2021 I was a finalist for the Moeck/SRP recorder competition as part of the London Early Music Festival.
I am an encouraging and dedicated teacher who believes that effective practice, rather than talent, is at the heart of any musical development. I share my expertise in how to practice well, varying your approach to make different connections rather than just repeating things - this also helps to keep practice interesting! I am also keen to help each student find their own voice and expression through music, tailoring lessons to each students needs and goals.
I have specialist knowledge of medieval, renaissance and baroque music, and can help students to develop skills in historical performance and ornamentation/improvisation.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Piano or Music Theory Lessons from an experienced and knowledgeable teacherHello!
I am pleased to be offering piano lessons to beginner and intermediate level students! Alongside the technicalities of playing the instrument, I have a broad knowledge of different genres of music.
If you are interested in writing your own music that is wonderful! I will be delighted to give you all the skills you need.
We can begin with any genre of music from the first lesson. Knowledge of how to read sheet music is not necessary for beginners.
I trained in piano at the TUD Conservatory of Music in Dublin, and have had many performance opportunities there and in Amsterdam. I have also been taking regular piano lessons and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam since I arrived here. I have taught piano in various different music schools and programmes in Ireland, but my main experience is from private teaching.

Piano and theory lessons in Jazz / Pop / Classical / Rock etcHi there! I've studied jazz piano & composition at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Helsinki Conservatory, played live concerts & recorded albums with many various artists in different genres from jazz, rock to classical music.
Currently I offer only lessons via Zoom-connection.* I use a camera above the piano keyboard, so you'll see my hands and the keys clearly when showing playing examples.
Every student is very welcome in my lessons. We'll start from where you are in your playing and I'll structure the lessons around your interests. So if you are a beginner or perhaps a more seasoned player, you are very welcome. If you have any questions about my lessons, I'll be happy to answer them! After the lessons I make a PDF for each student about the theory we discussed and other details if necessary.
*live lessons available in Amsterdam from August-September 2021 onwards. We take care of proper covid-measures if the pandemic is still.

Cello, Piano and Music lessons in Utrecht. All levels and different genres! My goal as a music teacher is to make the students able to experience all types of emotions by playing music, understanding the musical process from its roots with a creative approach. My lessons are designed according to the specific needs of each student and the main objective is to guide them in the optimal direction to achieve their full potential in a fun way. Thereby, the instrument becomes a tool to understand what making music really means and will be a way for the student to express his emotions. My approach to the lessons can provide a lot of creativity, fun and originality.
How will my lessons look like
From the first lesson, the student will start making music. We will begin learning the basic concepts of music, developing listening and rhythmic skills with fun exercises. Lessons will also be focused on learning the basics of music theory, creating a solid technical base and paying special attention to having a relaxed and healthy body posture. My academic and professional experience has helped me create a teaching method where improvisation is an essential tool for the student. I enjoy working on it from the beginning since it is a perfect way to develop musicality.
Playing different music genres together
As a musician, another of my sources of inspiration is to get to know and to learn from different styles, playing and experimenting with music from the classical period until the most avant-garde style. During the lessons, we will play pop, jazz, classical and many other styles. I would like to explore the instrument with the student in a fun way, growing, improving, and discovering new ways of making music together. During the lessons the students and I could play together, either playing some duos with the cello or accompanying them with the piano, which is an activity that I really enjoy. Playing together with more people and with a polyphonic instrument from the beginning will give the student clues to learn how to play in ensembles and listen to all the different voices that can be part of any musical composition.

Muzikale gehoortraining
Improvisatie
Werken met DAW (Logic)
(Thuis) Studio opnames
Muziek productie (editing, mixing, mastering)
Muziek theorie
(digitale) Muzieknotatie
