Trusted teacher: It is never too late to start or resume learning piano! My teaching experience makes me a witness to this. Perhaps you came looking for piano lessons because you wish to be able to play some particular pieces, or to develop specific skills. Or maybe you don't know what your goal is yet, but are fond of the sound of the piano and want to dive into this wonderful instrument. Whatever the case, I am looking forward to hearing from you and discussing your next step! I try as much as possible to tailor the work with each individual student aiming at the goals set and the student's musical tastes. This becomes more the case the higher the student's level of experience. Nevertheless, beginners are also encouraged to suggest music for themselves to learn. The work on pieces is combined with other important activities designed to develop finger dexterity, hand coordination, rhythmic sense, music reading, playing by ear, etc. The Cortot, Hanon and scale exercises are some of my frequent choices for the technical work. For young beginners, I defend a no-book approach during the first 2 or 3 months, for three main reasons: it makes learning more fun, it unlocks our creative potential and it allows us to explore the instrument rather confidently and freely. Instead of learning how to read right from the start, students have the opportunity to play games, listen to music, sing, compose, and improvise over backing tracks, developing the core skills necessary for any musical activity later on. After this period, it is then time to introduce them to a method book. The one I recommend the most is Piano Safari. For teenage and adult beginners, the activities described above are selected and adjusted, and theory concepts may be introduced at an earlier stage. If desired, graded level series such as the RSL Classical or Contemporary Piano, among others, may be opted for. Please notice that my scheduling may not always be up to date on this website, so the best way to know my availability is sending me a message. Feel free to get in touch for any other questions as well! Looking forward to meeting you soon, Rodrigo

Trusted teacher: Hi everyone! I’m Enrico, a professional pianist and musician from Italy, currently based in Valencia, Spain. I’m passionate about helping students of all ages discover the joy of playing the piano — whether they’re complete beginners or experienced musicians looking to improve their skills. My lessons focus on making music accessible, enjoyable, and creative. I believe that learning in an interactive and relaxed environment leads to faster progress and lasting motivation. Together, we’ll explore music not just as a skill, but as a form of personal expression. 🎶 What You’ll Learn In our classes, you’ll: - Learn to play your favourite songs - Read sheet music with confidence - Develop your ear through practical ear training - Improvise and express yourself freely at the piano - Understand how melody, harmony, and rhythm work together - Explore different styles — from classical and pop to jazz Each lesson is personalized to your level, interests, and goals. Whether you want to master technique, strengthen theory, or simply play for fun, I’ll guide you step by step with a structured yet flexible approach. 🎼 About Me My musical journey began at the age of 10, when I started playing the organ in church. Soon after, I enrolled in the local Conservatory, where I studied Organ and Classical Composition for eight years, followed by Jazz Piano studies. I graduated in 2021 and have been performing since 2016 in various folk, pop, and jazz ensembles across Italy. Currently, I’m continuing my musical education at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, expanding my experience in performance, harmony, and pedagogy. 💻 Lessons & Availability I offer both online and in-person lessons. My teaching style combines solid technical training with creativity and musical intuition. You’ll receive engaging exercises, inspiring repertoire, and clear guidance to keep you progressing consistently. Whether you’re aiming to pass an exam, perform, or simply play for pleasure, my goal is to help you feel confident and inspired at the piano. If you’d like to know more about lessons, materials, or scheduling, don’t hesitate to reach out — I’d be happy to answer your questions. Let’s make music together! Kind regards, Enrico

Trusted teacher: I offer piano lessons specifically designed for complete beginners and intermediate-level pianists who want to deepen their knowledge and technique. My goal is to guide you step by step through learning the piano, making the process enjoyable and effective. What I teach: 🎹 Solid Fundamentals: If you're a beginner, we'll start with the essentials: reading sheet music, music theory, rhythm, recognizing notes on the keyboard, and good posture to avoid tension. I'll give you all the keys to a smooth start. 🎹 Progressive Piano Technique: For beginners and intermediate players alike, I help you develop a precise and fluid technique. We will work on hand independence, velocity, precision of touch, and dynamic management to give more expression to your playing. 🎹 Repertoire Adapted to Your Tastes: I firmly believe that learning is more motivating when you play what you love. We will explore a varied repertoire that matches your musical preferences – whether it's classical pieces, film scores, pop... For intermediate players, we will tackle more complex pieces to develop your interpretation. 🎹 Musical Comprehension: Beyond simple performance, I will help you understand the structure of pieces, the basics of harmony, and the importance of dynamics. This will enrich your playing and give you the tools to approach new pieces with more autonomy. 🎹 Personalized Progression: Every student is unique. That's why I adapt my teaching to your learning pace, strengths, and challenges. I will provide you with constructive and regular feedback to help you progress steadily and achieve your goals. My commitment is to provide you with a caring and stimulating learning environment, where patience and passion for music are at the heart of each lesson. Whether you dream of playing a few simple melodies or tackling more elaborate pieces, I am here to support you on your musical journey. Ready to start or resume your piano lessons with me?

Piano and Music Theory lessons with Specialised and Experienced Teacher (Odivelas)
Helena

I came to Helena as a complete beginner with the piano. Though I played other instruments previously, her help on the techniques of the piano was exactly what I was looking for. She has a fantastic grasp of music theory and made those concepts easily understandable to me as well. I highly recommend Helena to anyone who is looking to get a solid foundation with the instrument or music in general.

AMAZING! Francesca has a calm energy, she listens to your needs, dreams, and style, and creates unique lessons suited to you. I had zero piano knowledge and near-zero musical knowledge and Francesca met me where I was, musically speaking. I highly recommend Francesca's lessons!
