My name is Daniil. I am a pianist and composer from Ukraine. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in composition, piano, and pedagogy at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2018 and my Master's in Music composition from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2020. The main power of music is in its ability to open up worlds of communication that are inaccessible otherwise. Therefore, in our lessons, we will use technical exercises, solfège, and music theory (if/when needed) to achieve the level of performance that will allow for the ultimate goal – having fun playing for or with your friends and family. Apart from working on your favorite pieces and classical repertoire, we will work on your skills of sight-reading and improvisation. We will also play pieces together, either on a piano in four hands or with me on the violin. I have almost ten years of experience teaching piano, composition, solfège, harmony and counterpoint, and music theory. Among my students were kids aiming for (and succeeding at) admission into higher music education institutions, conservatory students who needed help with their music theory and piano classes, and kids and adults who studied music in their spare time. No matter what your goal (or lack thereof) is for studying music, we will find an appropriate pace, structure, and repertoire. The classes can take place either at my house in Scheveningen or at a student's location in The Hague.

I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, creator, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. Since graduating at the Conservatory of Rome, teaching as well as performing has been one of my passions! I have been teaching piano for more than 8 years to students of all levels and age. I have experience with children, adults and also with students with different learning abilities. My students were always encouraged to take a step further and navigate through the world of piano under my guidance. My lessons are generally from half hour (for young children) to 1/1,5 hours. Depending on the level of the student, the lesson will include solfeggio and notions of musical theory, technique exercises and study of piano repertoire. My experience lies in classical piano repertoire, including Classicism, Baroque, Romanticism and Early Modern. I try to vary the program of my lessons and to choose the repertoire with the students, based on their taste and inclination. My teaching method is very structured and reflects the methodology taught in Conservatories, Music Academies and Universities. It is aimed at creating a solid basis to prepare for exams and auditions as well as giving the instruments for independent study. This type of method is of course suited also for amateur pianists too, who just want to play in their spare time - it will give them the opportunity to check their practice and receive relevant advice. Aside from the technique, participation, passion and fun are also fundamental! I pace each lesson to the needs and the preparation of the students, listen to their requests and choose with them the right path to follow. The moment of engagement between the performer and the listener it is the most intense feeling I’ve ever felt. It is a very unexpected moment, it just happens and there you are holding your instrument in front of people you are sharing your performance with. Suddenly everyone is waiting for you to continue the story you have been telling and everyone is just at the same time on the same place and you have what they need: a message they want to hear and they know you will share it with them. So once you do you reach that sensation, that moment, and what happens afterwards it is magic! Over João R. Hello everyone! My name is João, piano and harpsichord player. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop. I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life! I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated. I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory. Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson. I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent.
