C.S. is a flexible teacher with experience in various genres and communities in music. As a student at Lakehead University, C.S. studied classical guitar and composition, with secondary experience in classical voice and piano. With a focus on learning music rudiments and theory, C.S. encourages students to not only learn songs but to explore what aspects of writing contribute to mood, dynamics, atmosphere and more. C.S. has a deep interest in music that is "outside the box", from avant-garde and aleatoric composing techniques, to percussive-acoustic guitar and alternate tunings and more. He is able to help serve those learning for both personal enjoyment, getting more serious, or those interested in trying RCM curriculum. While his own experiences and interests in music are eclectic, C.S. looks forward to narrowing in on, and helping you achieve your personal goals.
