Hello! I am Edgar, violinist and music pedagogue with more than 4 years of experience in teaching violin, especially to young children and beginners. I currently study violin at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna and studied Music Pedagogy at the Australian Guild of Music Education. My passion is to teach and share music from the earliest years, using methods that are adapted to the development of each child. I have experience with students from as young as 2 years old to advanced students of various ages - any age is the right age to start!
 My main teaching method is the Suzuki Method, for which I hold several certifications. This method is widely known for its effectiveness in early music education, encouraging natural learning through repetition, imitation, and active parental support. I also include other specialized teaching techniques to create a fun and effective learning environment. Parental involvement is crucial and I guide them on how to create a supportive musical atmosphere at home.

Anna was born in Riga, Latvia. She was seven years old when she received her first violin lessons. From the age of 14 she began to study in Riga in "Emila Dārziņā" Music College with Professor Ludmilla Girskaja. During her studies she takes part in various competitions such as "Latvian Talents" first prize and "Dvarionas" competition in Lithuania, also master course with Vadim Gluzman After completing her studies in Riga with distinction, she began her further studies in Vienna in 2003 with Professor Jan Pospichal, the concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In 2011 she completed her master's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Since 2011 she has been playing in various orchestras (Tonkünstler Orchestra, Strauss Festival Orchestra, Vienna Cathedral Orchestra, Klagenfurt Symphony Orchestra). Her love for teaching began during her student days in Vienna. She teaches a lot for children and also helps various musicians preparing for auditions, including online. Classes are held in German, English, Russian and Latvian.

After many years of experience with the field circle exercises and Qigong courses with Thomas Riebl and with the resonance teaching exercises, I have become convinced that a relaxed, comfortable way of playing the violin exists, but must be practiced as early as possible. I have more than seven years of experience in teaching violin, viola, music theory and complementary piano, so no matter what level you are, I can teach you from the ground up. I specialized in classical music but I can also help you to play and learn your favorite songs. I find it very important to connect mind and body with the instrument, so I like to emphasize from the beginning on relaxation and proper postures to avoid pain or contractions later on. I like to develop a series of relaxation and stretching exercises before and at the end of each class. I believe that music should be a source of joy and enjoyment before anything else. I don’t have a definite method, as I think I have to adapt to the needs and aptitudes of each student. I can give individual and group lessons (no more than 4 people), so I can also work with small groups.
