About Me

Originally from Argentina, I've called the Netherlands home since 2000. I live in Amsterdam with my family. I have a background in Economics and Accounting and spent years working in teaching, program coordination, and coaching. In 2024, I started teaching Spanish informally—and fell in love with it! After completing two teaching courses, I now lead several Spanish group lessons and run the Spaans Taalcafé.

I've always been passionate about sports, having played football and tennis from a young age and coached youth teams for years. I also love being outdoors—whether it's cycling, hiking, watching a good football match, or making an authentic Argentine BBQ for friends and family.

For people who want to learn conversational Spanish very fast in a relaxed environment (no homework, textbooks etc.)

We will use a fun technique that encourages thinking and understanding of the language.

There will be no written homework but I expect students to be able to devote 30 mins per day of their own time. (Classes only need to be once a week).

It was not until I started traveling outside of Mexico that I realized the importance of the Spanish language. It is everywhere and its enormous diversity in accents and the cultures with which the accents are attached to are what make Spanish such an interesting and entertaining language to dive into.

As I am a native speaker, and I have also focused on learning French and English, I want to help people feel more comfortable speaking Spanish and using it for all kinds of conversations, as well as understanding its grammar and vocabulary.
