Trusted teacher: Have you been staring at the equations that the teachers write as if you were looking at hieroglyphs on the wall? Do you feel stuck when you are confronted by your exercises, not a single idea coming to mind? My name is Bastien, I studied Physics for my Bachelor's at EPFL and a Master's in Quantum Engineering at ETH. During my studies, I was a Teaching Assistant for classes in Electromagnetism, Fluid Dynamics, Analysis, and Special Relativity. I also gave private lessons to students in need before their exams. Through these experiences, I discovered that no matter your level we all tend to get stuck in front of math equations at one point or another. We get lost in the details and seem to be unable to see the big picture, to understand where all of this is going, and why any of it is useful at all. In these classes, I want to help you deal with these issues. It doesn't matter if you are in middle school, high school, or starting your Bachelor's. The goal of these classes is to help you cultivate the skills needed not only to improve your grades but also to be a better problem solver. I will help you develop your passion and curiosity for mathematics. The passion that you maybe never knew you had! We will look at mathematics not as a monolithic entity but as a language. I take semi-intensive classes with Amel (three times a week) to learn Fusha Arabic and I enjoy it very, very much! Amel has a clear methodology that includes reading, writing, and oral comprehension skills. She also renders grammar somewhat fascinating by giving background knowledge on linguistic and sometimes philosophical structures. Regarding vocabulary, she also points out differences between Fusha and Tunisian derija, which is very helpful. I highly recommend and always look forward to my next class! Thank you, Amel!!!

Carlos is an amazing teacher! I have learned more studying with him in a few months then I have learned in a year with other teachers. He is patient, knowledgeable and organized. We have good conversations and he really knows how to activate the language and give confidence to his students. For more basic students like myself it's very useful that he can speak other languages so well, although we use mostly Spanish in our lessons. He is simply the best! I highly recommend Carlos as a teacher!

Florencia welcomed us with different activities to find out about our level of Spanish. The lessons gave plenty of speaking opportunities. She took the time to analyse the mistakes made on Spanish exams to find ways of improving. After each lesson, Florencia gave us links for more online excersices and the notes to the lesson. She was friendly, accommodating, patient and non-judging - a great teacher
