Piano, Composition and Music Theory lessons – Create Your Own Music WorldsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a professional composer, performer, pianist, and sound artist who believes that sharing knowledge and experience is one of the most important parts of our lives. We are creative human beings by nature. Are you passionate about music and sound and would you like to expand your knowledge? Do you want to learn how to compose your own music or play the piano? There is never too late to start or to continue with your passion! I believe that education is a dialogue and I adapt the course plan according to the level and the age of students in order to develop their potential. I am always trying to bring positivity, passion, and curiosity for learning. Depending on your interest I can help you with: Piano: I teach using different methods, according to your needs and goals. I always care about setting up and cultivating a healthy technique of playing, trying to bring a complex approach to interpretation or improvisation. Composition: Basic principles of creating a musical piece, theory of composition, notation (ranging from classical to graphic and open scores), instrumentation, orchestration, arranging, creating electroacoustic music, computer-aided composition, and recording. Music Theory: Harmony, rhythm, aural skills, music analysis, and history of music – these are some of the topics inseparably belonging to music education. Since I have many years of experience teaching music theory within all levels of education – from basics to advanced – we can find a way how to approach those topics with enthusiasm and creativity and learn as much as possible :)

Hi! My name is Zoë and I am an oboist. I have completed a Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University and am now starting my Master of Music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Den Haag. I love to share my passion for music with others, and in my lessons you will learn about music that interests you and most importantly, have fun! I have been teaching for six years. I have experience teaching all ages and abilities, in individual lesson environments, group lessons, reed making lessons, small ensemble tutoring, and orchestral tutoring. I have experience with all genres of classical music, and have a strong background in music theory, aural skills, musicology, and composition. Lessons with me will incorporate all skills involved to become a well rounded musician. Some of the highlights of my musical career so far have included being principal oboist and orchestral manager of the Australian National University Orchestra and performing E. In these lessons, I will help you reach your goals while having fun in the process, keeping the lessons structured and tailored to your personal needs. I have 5 years of experience helping students improve as well as specialist knowledge in a multitude of styles. Guitarist, composer, qualified teacher, professor for 11 years: classical guitar, electric guitar, arrangement, compositionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Guitarist, composer, qualified teacher, professor for 11 years: classical guitar, electric guitar, arrangement, compositionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Would you like to start playing guitar, pick it up again after a break, or overcome a challenge? Do you have a song in mind, a solo that's giving you trouble, or simply the desire to discover unexpected things? Do you want to create your own music, lead a specific project, or express yourself on social media? I offer individual online lessons, tailored to your level, your tastes and the time you have available. 🎵 My journey I am a guitarist and composer, holding two master's degrees obtained at the IMEP in Namur in classical guitar and classical writing. I have been teaching for 11 years to children, teenagers and adults, in academies, non-profit organizations, private lessons, online and in higher education. These experiences have taught me to adapt my explanations to very different profiles, from the first contact with the instrument to higher musical studies. I enjoy performing classical music as much as playing a rock riff or transforming a film theme into a guitar arrangement. This curiosity runs through my career and my teaching: I love discovering my students' musical world and helping them bring it to life. My stage experience ranges from rock bands to solo classical guitar, trios, and quartets. I compose for various ensembles and create numerous arrangements of film scores, video game soundtracks, and songs. One of my pieces was notably performed by the IMEP Grand Choir. This dual experience as a guitarist and composer informs my teaching: I enjoy explaining what lies behind the notes, understanding the technical challenges, and illuminating choices in harmony, structure, and interpretation, with accessible guidelines for every level. My curiosity for film, literature, computer science, and Japanese culture also enriches the projects I develop with my students. 🎼 Support that starts with you Are you a beginner? We'll gradually build the foundations through pieces that will inspire you to play. Do you already have some experience? We can refine your technique, improve your interpretation, or understand what's hindering your progress. Is a chord change not flowing smoothly? Is a fast passage proving difficult despite repetition? We take the time to understand what the problem is. I regularly create customized exercises directly related to the difficulties my students encounter. We also work on sound, rhythm, nuances and phrasing: everything that brings a performance to life. The goal is for you to know what to work on, how to do it, and why, even between lessons. I also help you organize your practice to progress with realistic goals and maintain the joy of playing. 🎸 What do you feel like playing or creating? • Classical guitar: repertoire from early music to contemporary music, technique, sound, interpretation and expression. • Electric guitar: rock, metal, pop, riffs, solos and sound engineering. • Accompaniment: chords, rhythms, variety and French songs, for playing alone, singing or accompanying other musicians. • Music from films and video games: play your favorite themes or adapt them for guitar. • Music theory: understanding chords, harmony, rhythm and the construction of pieces, with explanations linked to practice. • Composition and arrangement: develop your ideas, write your music or transform a piece to make it your own. 🎵 A place for music in your everyday life In my teaching, I place equal importance on understanding and the enjoyment of playing. I like to make complex concepts accessible, seeking what will help each student progress and giving them the tools to become independent. My wish is that everyone can develop a practice that suits them, with curiosity, confidence, and the desire to continue. The courses welcome beginners as well as advanced musicians, with teaching methods adapted to the age and background of each individual. Tell me what you would like to play or learn, and where you are today!

🎼 Music theory & music theory clearly explained, with examples on the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

🎼 Music theory & music theory clearly explained, with examples on the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Do you have trouble reading music? Do you love listening to music, but don't understand time signatures, keys or chords? Music theory often sounds abstract, but with the right explanation and concrete examples it suddenly becomes a lot more logical, and even fun :) For whom? - Beginner or advanced musicians who want to better understand what they are doing. - Students preparing for music theory exams (e.g. music school, entrance exams). - Independent artists/producers who want to deepen their musical knowledge. - Anyone who is curious about the language behind music. What can you expect? - Clear explanation, at your own pace. - Theory made immediately applicable with examples on the piano. - Extra attention to insight instead of learning dry rules by heart. - Tutoring fully tailored to your level and goal (classical, pop, songwriting, production, ...). About me I obtained a Grade 8 diploma in Music Theory and also a Grade 8 Piano from the Royal Schools of Music. In addition, I hold a diploma in Audio Engineering from Hofa College. I am active as a music artist and producer myself. Thanks to this combination of classical training and practical experience, I know how important it is to make theory understandable, concrete, and musical. I use my own piano during lessons to clarify everything visually and audibly. Possible topics: - Learn to read music. - Scales, chords & harmony. - Form and analysis (classical, jazz or pop). - Rhythm, time signatures & tempo. - Music theory for producers/songwriters. - Songwriting. - Preparation for exams or entrance tests. Practical - 1-on-1 lessons, online or live (if you don't live too far away). - I provide materials, or we work with what you need. - No prior knowledge required. Lessons adapted to your level. 🎶 Feel free to send me a message with your questions or goals. We'll see how I can best help you.
