I have recently graduated from a CELTA course and I'm eager to apply my skills and knowledge. I have been given a good teaching practice and can use different resources. I mainly specialise in teaching English as a secod language for young people and adults. We will focus on building good vocabulary, understand grammar and use punctuation correctly. I currently teach Maths and English to 11+ children but am also able to teach both up to GCSE standard. I am 18 and have been lucky enough to have been afforded a private education and would love to share my passion for learning with more children. My goal is to ensure that each child feels that they have the tools to do their very best in exams. I provide homework after every lesson and also update parents as we progress, I also find that progress can often be seen in tests and reports at school. In addition, I am a performer and so can also teach singing to children from the age of 11 of any ability. I am looking for students to tutor on a subject I am highly passionate about. I am a sociable character and I strongly believe in a dynamic and personalised approach. I have been a past English literature GCSE Edexcel and a A-level AQA board B student and believe this experience has taught me clearly how to provide best to different students needs. The texts I have studied for GCSE are Macbeth, Blood Brothers, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, poetry anthology (Also have done work on Othello and How to Kill a mockingbird) and for A levels my texts studied were Twelfth Night, A Doll's House, Kite runner, Comedy poetry anthology (coursework included Frankenstein and poetry). I'll mainly be focusing on content, exam knowledge as well as exam skills (however, I am open to giving feedback on the NEA coursework elements).
