My name is Alessio and I am an Italian professional double bass/bass player with degrees in classical and jazz. I've been living in the Netherlands for over 10 years and I have more than 15 years of professional "live music" experience, including teaching children and adults. I have always believed in the power of music to connect with others and forge relationships across linguistic and cultural boundaries. In my opinion, the music discipline is one of the best drivers for a student to learn deeply about themselves. A musician since the age of 14, I have been giving lessons as a private tutor for over 10 years. I focus on your goals, whether it's improving your vocabulary (jazz or other modern genres) or learning the basics of the double bass and electric bass. I pay close attention to the practical application of theoretical concepts. About the Lesson: Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills? In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument. I will guide and help you to achieve this goal by providing the following classes: - Contrabass (Jazz and Classical and any other style) - Bass Guitar (Any modern style) - Music Theory - Solfeggio/ Ear training - Jazz Harmony All these classes can be taught seperately. Nevertheless, during our instrumental lesson we will cover a portion of the material of all the modules.

I am a double bass player based in the city of Leuven. I recently obtained my third master in music in double bass at the LUCA School of Arts – Campus Lemmens. I am currently working as a double bass tutti in the Brussels Philharmonic and i am the bass player of the ensembleDRE. As a double bass player i have played in different amateurs and young Orchestras like NJO, the junge-deutsch franzosische philarmonie and Futurorchestra, and with professional Orchestras like Casco Phil and Ataneres Ensemble. As a teacher i have taught pop music and electric bass in Italy. Through my experiences , concerning different kinds of music, i would like to approach the double bass and/or electric bass to people of any age. At the same time, I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop and rock.
