My goal is not simply to teach you moves or openings to memorize. My main aim is to help you understand why a move is good, how to construct a plan, and how to identify tactical possibilities on the chessboard. The courses are tailored to your level, age and goals. Depending on your needs, we can work: - the rules of the game and the fundamental principles; - the development of the pieces and the principles of opening; - tactics: forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, typical checkmates; - the strategy and the construction of a plan; - the middle of the game; - the essential finals; - the calculation of variants; - time management; - the analysis of your own games. An important part of my method involves analyzing the games you've played with you. Together, we look for key moments, mistakes, missed opportunities, and the best alternatives. I am a Latvian Candidate Master with an international FIDE rating of 2059 and an English Chess Federation rating of 2120, and an online rating of 2400, reflecting a strong competitive level. I particularly excel in blitz and rapid formats. My greatest competitive achievement is winning 1st place at the English Open Women & Girls Rapid Championship in 2019. I also have over 15 years of experience teaching chess to both juniors and adults.
