Hello! My name is Yann, I'm a 28-year-old professional musician and bassist with a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the Lausanne University of Music. I love sharing my experience with you and passing on what I've learned and what I'm currently learning! I am passionate about offering personalized lessons, the main goal of which is to develop your personal relationship with music and integrate the arts into your daily life. All levels are welcome. I will help you develop tools to analyze and interpret your favorite music, and even create your own! I am comfortable in a wide variety of styles, having performed in numerous concerts across extremely diverse musical genres. During the Production courses, we will cover: - become familiar with Ableton - your vision and artistic approach, determine the technical objectives - recording of instruments - composition and arrangement - the various creative and practical effects relating to production - use mixing creatively I give lessons in my fully equipped music studio in Flon, right in the heart of Lausanne. I also teach music theory, guitar, and bass. Depending on your interests, we can expand the scope of the lessons. My career as an instrumentalist began a few years ago alongside numerous Swiss artists, including J.NUNN, Roxane, Chelan, and Nnavy. I have performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo, Cully Jazz, Les Docks, and Caribana, as well as at many events throughout Switzerland, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. I give approximately 70 concerts a year. I also have extensive experience as a musician, producer, and composer in professional studios in France, Norway, and Switzerland. I have contributed to several online releases, whether by composing, co-producing, recording, or remixing.

The classes are tailored to each individual: we can start from scratch, delve deeper into a specific tool, or work directly on a project you're already developing. The idea is for you to be able to use these tools practically to develop your own musical and sound projects. We can work on, among other things: - Max MSP and Max for Live (from scratch, audio synthesis and processing, Max for Live, patch design and programming, Works and Sets Live Electronics, patch design and programming, communication between Max and other programs, etc.) - Audio and production (Audio editing and processing, Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic Pro) - Spatialization (Ambisonics, Specialization, multichannel diffusion, multichannel audio, spatialization system design in Max MSP, etc.) - Musical language and theory (Musical language, harmony and analysis, rhythm and structure, and musical theory applied to electronic music) The classes are primarily online and can be in Spanish or English. With over 15 years of experience as a teacher at Albeda and the Rockacademie, and my background as a professional musician, producer, and songwriter, I want to use my knowledge and experience specifically to help aspiring music makers on their way. My lessons are intended for anyone who wants to learn to make music themselves, even without any prior knowledge. Together, we discover the basics of music production, including beatmaking, recording, arranging, sound design, and mixing, using programs such as Ableton Live and Logic Pro. With my background in Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk, and Jazz, I combine technical knowledge with creativity and musicality. The lessons are practical, relaxed, and tailored to your level, interests, and learning goals. My focus is not only on learning to work with music software, but primarily on developing your own sound and turning musical ideas into complete tracks. You don't need any experience, just curiosity, creativity, and a love for making music!

Learn Ableton Live and music production through practical, project-based one-on-one lessons built around the music you actually want to make. We can work directly on your own tracks, recordings, arrangements or specific problems you want to solve. Depending on your level and goals, lessons can cover Ableton Live workflow, MIDI and audio editing, recording, synthesis, sampling, sound design, arrangement, mixing, effects, automation and developing a track from an initial idea to a finished piece of music. As a professional composer with a Master's degree in Composition and seven years of teaching experience, I can also help with composition, harmony, melody, rhythm, orchestration and music theory whenever these are useful to your production. I teach complete beginners as well as experienced producers who want to improve their workflow, develop their musical ideas, solve technical problems or receive detailed professional feedback on their work. There is no rigid curriculum. We identify what you want to achieve and build the lessons around your projects and goals.

If you are interested in composition, music production, songwriting and performance but feel like you need some technical or creative motivation, this is the lesson for you. If you feel discouraged or overwhelmed by the technical aspects of a creative process, this is the lesson for you. In these lessons, we will work on making the most of what we have through creative-problem solving and inspiration-hunting. You bring your ideas and we develop them together, have challenging conversations and explore alternative approaches to composition, production and songwriting to get you closer to your vision. We will also explore the many possibilities of working with a live band, ensemble or orchestra and how to encourage a healthy but focused work process. Complete beginners are very welcome. You do not need previous production experience or music theory. Whether you are opening Ableton for the first time, struggling to finish tracks, or already producing and want to improve your sound, I tailor each lesson to your level, musical taste, and goals. We can work on Ableton Live, MIDI, sampling and workflow; turning loops into finished tracks; arrangement and song structure; sound design, synthesizers and effects; mixing and mastering; developing your own sound; detailed feedback on your productions; and practical advice about releases, labels, DJing and the music industry. The lessons are practical and centred on your own music. We can work directly on your projects or build a track together from scratch. I am Lars, an international DJ and music producer with more than 25 years of experience. I have released music on labels including Golden Recordings, Mobilee, Nervous, Katermukke, Stil Vor Talent and Kittball, worked with Boris Dlugosch and Phil Fuldner, and produced remixes for Purple Disco Machine and Claptone. I have performed at venues and festivals including Watergate Berlin, Pacha Ibiza, Printworks London, Tomorrowland and Fusion Festival.
