I’m a violinist trained at the Conservatorio “Luca Marenzio” in Brescia, where I completed a traditional 10-year diploma in violin performance in 2016. I gained extensive experience as a concert musician, playing as first violin in distinguished orchestras and baroque ensembles.

Alongside the violin, I also teach piano. I studied piano as a complementary instrument during my conservatory studies and have continued to cultivate it for many years, focusing mainly on Russian late-Romantic repertoire.

In my teaching, I place strong emphasis on solid fundamentals and the development of musical curiosity from the very first lessons. I am happy to teach both children and adults of any level, adapting each lesson to the student’s pace, personality, and goals. I love teaching! In my approach, I place strong emphasis on solid fundamentals and the development of musical curiosity from the very first lessons. I am happy to teach both children and adults of any level, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace, personality, and goals.

Education

I completed a traditional 10-year Italian Conservatory Diploma in Violin Performance (2006–2016) at the Conservatorio “Luca Marenzio” in Brescia, studying under Maestro Riccardo Malfatto, with chamber music (string quartet) studies under Maestro Luca Morassutti and piano studies under Maestro Gabriele Prodi. This qualification is formally equivalent to a Master’s degree under Italian Law 228/2012 and subsequent decrees.

Expérience / Qualifications

Since 2024, I have been active as a violin and piano teacher, offering private one-to-one lessons to both children and adults. Previously, I gained extensive performance experience as a violinist in several established orchestral and baroque ensembles. From 2011 to 2016, I played as first violin with the Ensemble “Luca Marenzio” di Brescia, a refined chamber group of advanced students and professionals specializing in historically informed performance under the guidance of Maestro Luca Morassutti, with concerts at venues such as the Teatro Grande in Brescia, the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua, and the Sala Filarmonica in Rovereto. In parallel, I served as Associate Concertmaster of the Orchestra Giovanile di Brescia, a prominent youth orchestra founded and directed by Maestro Marco Fabbri, performing core symphonic repertoire from Haydn to Beethoven. In 2014, I was selected as violin soloist and concertmaster of the Europa Jugendorchester of Darmstadt, an international ensemble directed by Maestro Norbert Müller, performing famous symphonic works by Brahms, Mahler, and Bizet. I also performed as first violin with Ensemble IANUA in its original formation, a baroque ensemble founded and directed by Maestro Gabriele Levi, focusing on Italian and German baroque repertoire including works by Vivaldi, Albinoni, Bach, and Händel.

Hello and welcome!

A former student of the Popular Conservatory of Music in Geneva, I am currently a master's student at the Geneva University of Music, Neuchâtel site.

I have 14 years of violin practice behind me and very much wish to transmit and share my passion for music.

In order to make you progress at best, I will rely on solid pedagogical and technical bases but will also be able to adapt to you and your desires / needs. We will be able to discuss the repertoire that you want to tackle: from baroque to contemporary music to film music - as long as it makes you vibrate ...! I will also be able to find people to make chamber music so that you can discover the pleasure of playing together.

If you want to learn basic solfeggio, it is totally possible to integrate it in the course, to see with the schedules.

These courses are primarily for beginner / intermediate violinists of all ages as it is never too late to start.

If you are at the conservatory or at a music school, I am also available for support work.

I offer private lessons of classical piano, at home, at home, or even online, the one that suits you best :) I am Ariel, a Brazilian pianist living in France for the past 6 years, and in this time i have acquired significant experience as a music teacher, in music schools and with private lessons, also with children, young people and adults - and because of the confinement, I also have experience with lessons online. These courses can also be in French, English or Portuguese !

My method is mainly focused on the autonomy of the student and the joy of making beautiful music. These two principles will guide us in our work, and any technique learned will have the goal of making music more beautiful, of allowing you to actually make the music you want to listen to. Of course, I will adapt to your personal needs and goals, depending on your situation:
- IF YOU (OR YOUR CHILD) ARE ANY BEGINNER, we will start with the basics of position, finger action, just like solfege. It will be a work parallel to the piano and the notebook, to develop intimacy with the instrument and knowledge of musical language.
- IF YOU ARE ALREADY INTRODUCED TO THE INSTRUMENT, you have played the piano before and want to take up again or you are taking lessons in a music school and do not want to drop your studies during the summer holidays, then we can work on all that concerns the improvement of your game: I will talk about sound, technique, the development of a personal interpretation and your musical culture, deciphering and sight reading, finally, any subject in the music that interests you, that 'be more practical or more theoretical.

Hello, my name is Izabel and I play the viola professionally and work in Zurich Opernhaus as well as other orchestras.
I also have more than 10 years of experience teaching the violin, the viola and music theory.
I can speak fluent English, Bulgarian and French. I can also understand German, but cannot fluently communicate.
I would be happy to work with you or your child at your home, or in my studio, as well as give an online course. My weeks are often quite flexible and I am happy to accommodate to your schedule whenever it is possible.

It is an important step in one's development to seek the right guidance and to have a teacher who helps them develop and grow. Music theory lessons, for children (from 9 years old) and adults.

Passionate about music theory and music theory, I would be happy to share with you my enthusiasm for music theory, so unfairly devalued, due to the sometimes brutal methods with which it is taught.

In the program :
- reading notes (treble clefs, C clefs, F clefs)
- reading rhythms (quarter notes, eighth notes, double / triple / quadruple eighth notes, triplets and other dotted notes)
- dictation of notes (training your ear takes time, but when the exercises are "tailor-made" and progressive, you progress faster)
- dictation of rhythms

Do not hesitate to tell me the context of your request (competition preparation, repurposing of instruments, exams, etc.).

The course durations offered are deliberately short to encourage maximum concentration.

It will be essential to prepare the exercises offered between classes, to progress in a way that gives you satisfaction and nourishes your motivation.

I am a professional violin and viola teacher based in Zurich, teaching in person at students' location or online, in English, German or Russian.

As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe.

I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano.

As a performing musician, I perform internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Philharmonie in Berlin. I’m a Tillett Trust and Villa Musica artist, winner of the Małopolska competition, Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition.

I hold a masters degree with first class honours from the class of Tabea Zimmermann at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and Bachelors with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music.
