Music is one of the finest and greatest arts in history. Encompasses the challenge of corporal control and exercise, rational thinking, and creativity amongst many other skills (and mental/sensitive pleasures).

You can learn in the field of composition, music theory, music history, aesthetics and philosophy of music as well playing piano and harpsichord, either the historical repertoire of both instruments or improvising skills (free or based on a style) and old skills like "basso continuo" or "practical counterpoint".

If you want to prepare an audition, exam, concert; you need extra-school lessons or you want to learn just for pleasure you may contact me.

I can teach harpsichord at my place, but the piano you need to have one. Lessons we don't need an instrument can be anywhere.

Singer trained at the Schola Cantorum of Basel (from medieval chant to the 20th century), I offer a general singing course: basic vocal technique (posture, breath work, sound work), discovery of different repertoires (depending on the student's tastes; pop repertoires also possible), work on interpretation. I can accompany the student on the keyboard. I work with people of all ages, beginners or not. The goal is to progress in a climate of trust.

You can also contact me for music theory lessons only (reading notes and rhythm, deciphering, notions of music theory, ear work).

I finally give piano lessons to beginners.

I can give the course in French or English, German and Spanish are also possible.
Lessons can take place at my home or at the student's home.

In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different.

Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me.
I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

My primary focus is on creating a personal connection and approach to the chosen instruments and to music in general. This includes (depending on your wishes, of course) your own musical expression, improvisation, songwriting (with lyrics if desired), song accompaniment and improvisation, as well as music theory and instrument-specific references.

Stylistically, the focus is on blues, rock, folk pop and world music, with strong references and influences from classical music, hip hop, electronic music and jazz.

My course focuses on the personal realtion between the individual, the chosen instruments and the music itself. This includes musical expression, improvisation, songwriting, songwriting, interpretation as well as music theory and specific aspects of the instrument.

My musical background lies between blues, folk, rock, pop and world music with influences from classical, as well as electronic music, hip hop and jazz.

Piano pop, variety, jazz, improvisation, ear training, composition, or production on Ableton Live... I immediately start with practical work with my students and my aim is to enable them to develop a form of creative independence during the early lessons. I cater to all needs and my classes are for children, adults, beginners, or experienced learners.

The lessons take place at my studio in Aarau.

Some lessons can also be done in my recording studio in Lausanne (my upcoming recording studio will be built soon in Aarau) The benefit of giving lessons in a recording studio is the opportunity for my student to leave the lesson with a professional recording of their pieces, allowing for effective self-assessment of their work.

I am a piano teacher with over 30 years of experience, passionate about nurturing musical talent at every age and level.
