I graduated in Political and Economic Science at the University of Milan. After working for a year for an American company in Milan, I moved to Australia, where I have worked, studied and traveled for two years.
It has been an incredible experience! I had the opportunity of visiting beautiful places, discovering so many different cultures and developed myself from a personal and professional point of view.
Since two years, I have been living in Haarlem - a wonderful city close to Amsterdam - and to the coast 🌊 - in the Netherlands. I love teaching and helping people to find out more about Italian culture, history, and arts. I would love to use all the modern techniques of teaching that I learned and practiced them with you. This class, specifically, is for people who are not native Dutch speakers and wish to sharpen their skills. The level you are on now does not matter, if anything, the less you know the more room there is for improvement! I have been tutoring and teaching Dutch for quite some time and have therefore gained a significant amount of experience. I am very much willing to take the time and make you grow step by step. Or, if by any chance, you need one-time help with for example an assignment then this is fine too!

I am an Italian native speaker with a bachelor in Italian Literature and Linguistics. In Italy, I usually teach English to high school students​, or adults who want to improve their skills with this language. Usually, I tend to use a non-academic approach, by focusing on the student's interests and make him/her applying the language to their everyday life, instead of simply learning the grammar rules by heart. In my opinion, learning a new language should be fun and easy, nothing too stressful. What you will get from is a new positive and funny way to learn a foreign language such as Italian or English.

Hi, my name is Antonella and I am Italian. I speak Italian, English, Chinese and Spanish. I am currently working at the University of Leiden for my traineeship. My italian lessons focus on the main aspects of the language, such as grammar, speaking, listening and vocabulary. I also prefer using online apps or games to practise at the end of the lesson, not just regular exercises.

Latin is fascinating and, despite its reputation of being a dead language, it can still be useful today. However, being unique, it is not always easy to understand its grammar and syntax and translating from Latin can be hard. Having studied it since when I was thirteen and with two cum-laude degrees in Classics, I know Latin deeply. Moreover, I have experience in giving classes to high school students, therefore I am aware of its difficulties and I know how to tackle possible hurdles in the most appropriate way for each student. Apart from Latin, I am an Italian native speaker, trained in Italian language and culture. If you want to strengthen or practice your Italian, I am the right person! We will address all language skills (speaking, writing, listening and reading) in a relaxed one-to-one environment, while alternating the necessary grammar and vocabulary learning with language games, music and interactive discussions on news. My class will be held in Italian and English, and it will be tailored to the needs of the student. Assignments will be given after every class.

Hello everyone! I'm an Italian expat studying international relations at Leiden University. Back in Italy I used to give English classes to students in need, and I also worked for a while for an association where I taught Italian to African immigrants. Here in Leiden I would like to teach Italian to people who don't only want to improve their grammar skills, but also their conversation skills.
