Did you always want to learn cello from zero and never had the opportunity to start, or do you want to improve your already learned skills? Then I can definitely help you! I am a Spanish cellist based in Amsterdam since 2008 with more than 10 years experience of teaching.

I offer lessons for all ages and levels, in English, Dutch and Spanish.

Here is a small resume of the lessons I offer:

1. Cello and/or baroque cello lessons: All levels.
The lessons will be focused on two basic elements: Technic of the instrument and developing musical skills.

2. Music theory: Beginners.
Basics of music, such as reading notes, rules and analysis. This field is as important as learning the instrument for it complements the process in music performance.

3. Music History: All levels
The lessons will give a full understanding of the historical development of music, with a complete historical context of the arts, politics and society. These lessons are a key point to students of conservatories and musicians to complement their music knowledge.

Über mich

Spanish cellist Maximiliano moved to Amsterdam in 2008 to study with Maarten Mostert and Dmitry Ferschtman. From 2010 started his studies in early music and baroque cello with Viola de Hoog while at the same time he met the cellist Anner Bijlsma. The relationship with Bijlsma involved not only lessons and advices through a period of nine years but also brought him an unforgettable mark. In 2016 he was awarded, together with other cellists, the Anner Bijlsma Award, a prize given at the Cello Biënnale Amsterdam for his research about the origins of the violoncello in Italy.

You will start to enjoy playing the piano both during and outside of the time of the class. You will learn how to be able to perform in a way that inspires your audience. I will teach you the basic music theory without going way deep into it because this is a performance class but you will learn what you need to excel in your performance. Additionally, I will teach you the principles of aesthetics of playing the piano. The repertoire that I focus on is mostly Western modern and Classical music, but we can also work on some famous Persian and Turkish pieces if you like. Of course, you are also always welcome to bring your favorite pieces to the class. Contact me for availability.

My name is Ben (26), and I'm a certified drum teacher with about 15 years of experience behind the kit. Previously I have studied jazz drums at Kunstuniversitat of Graz. In addition to my performing work as a drummer and composer, I have been teaching drums to motivated students of different levels and ages for over 20 years. As a certified drum teacher (Amsterdam Conservatory), I have my own teaching practice in the Q-factory in Amsterdam East/Oostpoort: Drum Practice East. I gave lessons and workshops to students at the HKU, the Conservatory Amsterdam (pop and jazz departments), Conservatorium Utrecht, DSOP Amsterdam, Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck and Musikhochschule Franz Liszt Weimar (D).

Hello everyone! I’m Taras a professional panflute player. I started playing the panflute when I was 5 years old. Ever since then I spent every day improving my skills and perfecting my craft. Throughout my career I had won numerous prices and was able to perform throughout Europe. I’m currently studying at the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I’m teaching private lessons as well as giving masterclasses at festivals.
