I teach at all ages, all levels. Whether you are a fan of pop, rock, jazz or just groove on the drums, I can give you the basics to be able to thrive behind the drums. Whether you are a beginner, or more experienced, my goal is to give you the keys so that you can understand and evolve. I adapt my lessons according to everyone's wishes and requests. I have extensive knowledge of the technique and theory of the instrument. For very beginners, I like to teach them the basics and rhythms by training the ear, trying not to overload them with theory. Technique and theory are important, but practice and music are essential. I like to teach the student to play on pieces, so that he can quickly become comfortable accompanying other musicians if he so desires. Music is a language, which we first learn with the ear. I started playing drums at the age of 12, through private lessons. I was lucky to have a teacher who made me want to play and practice my instrument. From my 15 to 18 years old, I worked on the drums in a self-taught way. I then studied drums at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where I had the chance to meet exceptional drummers and musicians. From the age of 18, I had different groups and projects, which allowed me to make a living from music quite early. Today, I play in several projects, including Typh Barrow, Halehan, Sonnfjord, Noa Moon, and several jazz projects. I am quite flexible on the days and times, I can teach at home or at home.

About the class My teaching style is majorly giving individual attention to students. Focus on music theory as well as basic and advanced techniques. Performance oriented sessions with well designed course material. Each session being planned for 60 minutes once or twice a week. Basic, intermediate and advanced level lesson of all major styles of music. I've been a drummer for almost 20 years now, and I've graduated from both Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music (classical percussion) and Mons Royal Conservatory of Music (pedagogy). I've been teaching percussion, the drums and music theory for a little more than 4 years now. My students are always the real actors of my courses. No matter what instrument you are learning, be it percussion, the drums, marimba, vibraphone, or music theory, I always pay close attention to your personal goals, and together we devise a unique learning plan that adapts to your strengths as well as your weaknesses. My courses are aimed at anyone who is willing to put effort into learning music; children or adults, complete beginners or more advanced players who wish to receive additional feedback and insight. Autonomy, creativity, curiosity and listening skills are the true pillars of my methodology. We pay as much attention to technique as to musicality or listening skills. Additionally, I provide tailored exercises, on-demand sheet music and transcriptions according to your needs, as well as additional resources and recommendations on my website to nourish your musical life and journey. I teach the following: -the drums, in various styles (rock, funk, jazz, shuffle, pop, world music, latin music, on-demand songs) and forms (Moeller technique, speed, rudiments, syncopation, breaks, solo, independence, musicality, double pedal, push-pull, etc.); -percussion (2 or 4-mallet marimba and vibraphone, xylophone, timpani, cajón, hand percussion), in both contemporary and classical music styles; -music theory, which can and will easily be integrated into my drumming or percussion courses, or can be taught as a separate course for music students who are seeking remedial education; -harmony; -sight reading techniques; -perfect and relative pitch (experimental)

Preferably in my studio, but it can also be at yours. I have been behind the kit for 18 years in different styles (rock, jazz, reggae, afrobeat).
