Trusted teacher: Drum lessons with David offer both private and group drum experiences. After completing his studies with the famed Brian Kirk (drummer for the Pointer Sisters, and many others) in 2004 David continued to be an active performer and began to discover another passion in life: Teaching. David’s instructional style utilizes building a vocabulary of drum rudiments and applying them to the songs that interest students most.

Hey there! I've been studying drums for the past 12 years at various schools across the country as well as playing with local and touring acts. I've taken all of my experiences, including graduating from Belmont University's School of Music, and formed a method for teaching that is guaranteed to improve anyone's ability on the drums. I tailor my curriculum to my students' needs and make it a priority to teach my students how to teach themselves so that they can play in any situation they're faced with or setting they're in. Let's grow together! I currently live in Nashville, TN but I also offer to teach online if you live elsewhere or if you just prefer it.

Trusted teacher: At Attuned lessons are uniquely designed to give you the skills you need to make the music you want to make. We begin by teaching a single instrument, for example, guitar. We learn about how a guitar works, how you play it and how different guitarists have defined and redefined how the instrument can be used. But underlying the guitar are universal music concepts that can be applied to any instrument anywhere; things like tone, melody, rhythm and composition. Once you’ve got a handle on the guitar we learn about how these musical concepts can be applied in other places. Depending on interest and creative curiosity, in our lessons we can explore guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, basic recording and production, music notation, classical composition, song and lyric writing, playing with a band, and performing music. The process of learning music is never complete. We hope to give our students the tools they need to spend their whole lives learning, playing and enjoying music.
