Trusted teacher: Hello! Alright I'll break it down by parts. If you look for a more "narrowed description" just scroll down where I made a list :) My name is Francisco, and I'm a guitar player from Argentina, currently living in Berlin. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and sharing the energy to grow musically to my students. I have taught music for 7 years in schools and privately at home. With private lessons my aim is to adjust to the student likes and abilities. I am attentive to the needs and the reasons why someone is wanting to play and learn music. And I try to encourage the curiosity and spirit of making music and not follow what is "considered" that you should learn. What to expect from the first lesson with me? To get to know each other. That way I see what you like and what you don't, what you already play, and your learning pace. And probably I can share with you something new already, and from there, we will build a "program" according to what you want and your rhythm, and time availability. I value singularity and I like to get to know who I teach, so that way I can help them better. It can be first chords and ways of learning new songs, or improvisational tools, or pure harmony and theory stuff. Because everyone is different, for example, if you like Rock I will go in that direction and teach you the elements that make Rock sound like it does and I won't teach you Jazz Harmony, if you like Classical music we will go over the abilities that you have to have to execute this kind of music, the same goes for the styles that I play. My skills: I play and have played mainly Fingerstyle Guitar, Jazz, Argentine Tango, Jazz Manouche, Rock, Rockabilly, Experimental. I have worked a lot playing Bossa Nova at some point. I don't like teaching something that I don't know. So for example, oriental music I couldn't teach. And if we come to a point where I am not helpful anymore, I will say so. What I do like is learning with students, it is often the case that your students teach you new ways of thinking about music and I find that super exciting! I was lucky to travel a bit of the world playing music with different projects and musicians that I admire, I always did this playing mainly Jazz music. I have played in bars and clubs and theaters in New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, and in different cities around Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland. I was also part of several orchestras (Jazz, Tango and Rock) in Argentina and in the US. I teach beginner - intermediate - advanced levels of different topics: - how to improve technique (right hand and left hand) - how to improvise (elements of improvisation, vocabulary, phrasing, etc.) - how to visualize the fretboard - how to learn songs by ear, and how to read music (or tab) - how harmony and music theory works - specific genres such as, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova, Tango, Rock, and Fingerstyle. The lessons can be also in German (basic, so you might need a bit of patience with me!) or Spanish (that's my mother tongue) or English. They can be at my place (Wedding), all corona safe, or online via Zoom/Skype. Shoot me a message if you are interested! All the best, Francisco

Trusted teacher: This applied music theory course is for any passionate musician, regardless of level. It aims to broaden his musical knowledge and abilities by understanding music as a whole. The goal is to be able to decode and understand how a music (not only of classical style, but also pop, jazz, rock, electro, ...) was composed, and to be able to use interesting harmonies oneself. and solid in a personal composition / production. It is made up of two main topics: * Harmony (building chords, understanding chord diagrams, learning to Harmonize a given melody, the possibility or not of using these Harmonies in a given style, etc.). But also understand the key, how to build a scale, how to navigate between different keys, how to transform a classic chord suite into another style? Harmony is a course open to all and all levels, no prerequisites to have. Any passionate musician will find interest in it, that's guaranteed. * Writing is a much more targeted course, which is already an introduction to classical composition. In this branch, we will develop the rules of classical writing (parallel fifths and octaves, false relations etc, ...) within the framework of an exercise based on a given melody or bass (in the first case it will be necessary to invent harmonization and compose a bass, in the second, it will be necessary to invent the harmonization and the melody). This course can also be used by academy or conservatory students who wish to prepare for the writing exam, or simply to deepen their knowledge.

Trusted teacher: A composition class that is tailored to your musical needs! This class's main purpose is to help you find your own musical language and voice, either you are a complete beginner in music or a highly skilled musician. The most important question that you will be asked is ''Why?'', in order for you to learn to have control over your musical product, sound and decisions, so that you are always sure that your musical vision is being well translated and transmitted through your work. In this class we are going to work with: 1) Compositional techniques --- Every lesson we are going to discuss about how do you think your piece should be, and about what does your piece need. For that you will need your intuition but also your ''tools'', and those are your compositional techniques. We are going to see them in other pieces and learn how to use them through your own musical vision. 2) Instrumentation --- To write acoutic music you need your ''arsenal'' and those are the instruments that you might use. In this class we will learn the categories, material, sound, structure and combinations of every instrument. We will learn together how each instrument works and how to notate it on paper, so that you are never limited by the nature of the instrument, but instead you are going to be able to bring out 100% of your music. 3) Arranging --- To make sure that you keep your instrumentation skills, we need to put them to use, not only in your music, but also in an arrangement. Together we are going to work on changing the instrumentation in piece and making arrangements of them so that you have a better nderstanding on how the instrumentation of a piece affects directly the compositional proscess and purpose of a piece of music, but also what are the differences between the sound of each instrument while combining them. Also, this will help you make decisions about the result of the arrangement, do you want it to be true to the original, or not? If not, why, and how do you do that? 4) Music History --- Together we will listen to music and learn some basic music history so that you have a better understanding of the different styles, structures and aspects of music, from the Byzantium and Middle ages music, all the way to the music of today. 5) Improvisation --- If you are also an instrumental player, will work also with improvisation. With improvisation you can strengthen your compositional skills, by understanding your intuition, developing your ear, understanding your taste and learning to work with few material, but the most important thing is to learn how to listen and play music with others, because by learning that, you also learn how to communicate and listen all these musical ideas that you have within you before writting (playing) them, controling them and understanding what is needed and what is not in your music. 6) Film scoring --- If you are interested, in this lesson we will also learn how to adapt music to screen. We will learn how to spot the tempo, feeling and texture of a scene but also how to enhance the message of a movie/game/scene/theatre play/documentary with our music. Furthermore will will learn how to use software for midi composition, and VST instruments 7) Electroacoustic composition and sound design --- If you are also interested in electroacoustic music, in this lesson we will learn how to work with sound editting, mixing, design and engineering. We will listen and learn a lot of electroacoustic compositional tecniques to help you explore, understand and work with a complete different musical world. Our goal is to grow your musical perception and horizon. 8) Music notation and software --- For us composers to write our music sometimes we need to use some programs that help us. In the lesson we will learn how to use programs like that, like Musescore, Sibelius, Reaper etc.

Trusted teacher: Hello, this is Seen! I am a pianist, composer and arranger from Hong Kong, currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I am offering piano and music theory lessons tailored to your needs and wishes. Perhaps you are an enthusiastic adult beginner, or you want to pick it up again after not touching the instrument for some time? Or perhaps you are looking for a teacher for your child? I have been giving music lessons for the past 9 years to students at different levels aging from 5 to 60. I understand that we all approach music in various ways and everyone needs different styles of guidance. I am looking forward to getting to know you and experiment with how I can help you along the way. Perhaps you want to play pieces from the classical repertoire? Or perhaps you want to acquire the skill of learning your favourite pop songs by ear, or learn to read lead sheets and chord symbols? Perhaps you want to learn to accompany yourself singing? Perhaps you want to learn improvisation over chord progressions? As a musician grew up with classical music training and later moved on to explore jazz and pop, I enjoy helping you to deepen your understanding about different styles and to have fun with playing! Perhaps you’ve always wanted to improve your piano technique, but get turned off by studies and scale practice? Perhaps you wish to acquire a stronger sense of rhythm or a more sophisticated control of sound? In my experience, advanced technique comes along with a tension-free body and mental space, and we can work on that together. I also find creating unique musical exercises that adapts to students’ needs makes the learning process more enjoyable. Perhaps you would love to integrate music into your daily life, but find it challenging to keep the momentum and interest in a long term? I try to structure our lessons so that students can see steady progress. I also understand that incorporating a habit can be a tricky part, so we can also develop study and practice plans together and explore ways to make your practice time more efficient. Perhaps you not only want to learn the instrument, but are also interested about the theories behind the music? Perhaps you want to learn some basic arranging skills and write for an ensemble that you play with? Perhaps you want to try composing your own music? As a composer and arranger, I would also love to share my experience on these subjects with you. Music is an enormous universe and there are always new territories to explore. I’m still a student on this journey, and I’m more than excited to share my experience and accompany you on your way!

Hernan
Hernan is not just a good teacher but an exceptional one. I have had only one lesson with him so far, but I got so much from it, that I am very happy for more. He gave me a good welcome and went above and beyond from the beginning. He is very modest and professional in his teaching style, which makes it easy to absorb what he teaches. I would say I am an advanced composition and intermediate orchestration student with decades studying and composing by myself. I had been thinking about taking some advanced online courses available on the internet, but almost all such courses are really work-on-your-own courses. They might have Facebook groups available at best, where you can post questions. But they cannot compare to having a real teacher with the hands-on knowledge guiding you one on one. That one session was packed with so many great insights which I could have never gotten out of any video course or book. Only an insider of orchestration craft and the music composition industry could have such insights. I am looking forward to what I can learn in future lessons.

Riza
This was my first time taking music production lessons, and Riza goes through the basic fundamentals of the software and music-making process. He adapts to your level and the difficulties you encounter. He gives you feedback on what to adjust and correct, as well as giving examples. I would definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to try electronic music-making.
