With extensive experience as a busker, singer-songwriter and function singer as well as having sung with choirs such as London Contemporary Voices, ACM Gospel Choir, Some Voices, TGGG, Singology etc, my main singing styles are pop, soul, gospel and reggae. Trusted teacher: My name is Luke and I am a 24 year old, multi-award winning guitarist from Greenwich, London. I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and am adept at all varieties of guitar playing, including, classical, acoustic, electric and bass. Regarding my previous experience in tutoring, I have given 1000's of hours of guitar tuition both privately and in school settings. These experiences have given me a keen sense of how to motivate students and offer them concise and useful advice. I have worked at many excellent institutions in the past, including Streatham and Clapham Girls' School (one of the top private girls schools in the country), Orpington Music Studio, The Royal Arsenal School of Music and Canada Blanch Music Academy. I have found over my experiences of being taught and then eventually teaching that the best method for getting the most out of a student is to listen. If the tutor is acutely aware of where their student needs help and where they are already confident, they can tailor classes carefully to make the best use of the time allowed and to get the maximum potential out of them. This philosophy leads to classes being student-oriented, in that the student leads the tuition. The tutor acts as a supportive crutch, first working through problems together, then allowing them to explore it themselves with the tutor to lean back on. In my first years of training, like many others, I completed grades. Because of this I have a very good knowledge of what it takes to move along this system. However, the grade system should not be seen as the only way to learn an instrument. The same achievement can be gained through simple discussion between student and teacher and the correct prescription of pieces and studies to work on. Maths is an important subject and we tend to use maths in our everyday life, but most importantly Maths is a vital subject in school, and we all want good grades, right? Well, you have found yourself a reliable Maths tutor who will ensure you get the grades you deserve and want. Throughout school, I have constantly been privileged to help out students at both GCSE, KS3 and primary school level to achieve their desired grades. Allowing students to maintain a confident approach when dealing with questions and scenarios is amazing. I have experience in helping students aged 7-16, where I’ve always ensured that students are left satisfied at the end of every session. I have volunteered throughout school to support students in maths during my free time to ensure that they were confident when it came to exams or mocks. The feeling of providing the children with trust and confidence in themselves is just so great. I`ve successfully tutored, where students walked into exams with full understanding, resulting in them receiving the grades that they wanted and deserved. This has inspired me to make this the case for many others. My main aim is to ensure that all students feel comfortable when dealing with problems and feeling confident when undertaking exams or walking into their next class. I want to make Maths easy to ensure that all students can grasp the different fundamentals and concepts in Maths so that they can reach their full potential. I have an enhanced DBS.
