I lived and worked for one year in England and eight years in the Netherlands, where I also obtained a PhD. I became fluent in English and Dutch through conversations with native speakers in these languages, in private and professional settings. Those conversations taught me so much more than what I had learned in schools! Now that I am back in France, I run my own business as a professional translator between English, Dutch and French. So, I’m used to switching and finding bridges between these languages, including in business.
