I reached out to Ms. Lubna to mentor my son in the art of watercolor. Because he has never painted before, Ms. Lubna taught him from scratch how to mix, apply and explore the possibilities of watercolor as an art medium. My son finds her classes a welcome challenge, because her method is teaching by example. She paints while she explains, and my son paints along with her in tandem. He really enjoys her classes and always leaves the class eager to learn more. And her existing art portfolio is so inspiring for young future artists. I consider myself an intermediate level singer (have had four years of opera training) so listening to feedback was challenging from a new observer. It was only the first lesson so I need to do more to gauge our compatibility but he definitely seems knowledgeable about voices and ways to improve just based off of a few sounds, which I found interesting and impressive. I articulated my goals and he believes he can help me get there. He is direct and to the point - also a quality I appreciate. We'll see. But so far so good ;)
