I will be providing classical piano lessons at the Conservatorium Maastricht, or in your home in the Maastricht area.
I'm a critically acclaimed pianist from Denmark, with studies from The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen and Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory, St Petersburg, now working with professor Igor Roma at the Maastricht Conservatorium.
I have received prizes in national and international competitions, and received funding from bigger Danish foundations.

I offer guitar, bass (electric or upright) and music theory lessons, thought for people who want to start in music or improve their skills. In the lessons we will approach music from a practical side, always focusing on the student's interests and needs. We will go over different styles and kinds of music, work on repertoire, technique and theory, all applied in a practical way to the instrument. A space to develop your musical skills with fun and joy!

Playing the violin might sound difficult. Being honest, it can be sometimes tricky, especially if you don't find the method which fits you the best :).
I use Suzuki method for teaching the violin. Suzuki believes that everyone can learn music in the right environment.
It doesn't matter how old you are, or if you have any background in music or not, I will make a tailor-made program for you based on your needs and level. More important, I will make sure that you enjoy the learning process, and you are having fun!

In the lessons, we will be focusing on setting or developing all the required skills for the students to be able to perform independently, understand the musical language, and explore their own sound. Focusing on posture, hand coordination, rhythm, ear training, reading scores, and improvisation. So far my musical exposure in many different genres allows me to create a lesson that is adapted to the specific needs of my students. My name is Maria and I love playing and teaching cello.
The nice, emotional, and depth sound of the cello attracted my interest from the age
of four and I decided from this young age to start learning how to play this beautiful
instrument. As the years were passing by I was getting more and more impressed
from the glory of music and of the cello. So my love and my passion became a
profession.
I am from Greece and I lived in the Netherlands for the last five years.
I finished my Bachelor studies in cello performance at The Royal Conservatory of The
Hague and I obtained a certificate in Music Education.
Now I am continuing my master studies at Conservatorium Maastricht and I work in
parallel as a freelance cellist and cello teacher.

Therefore teaching methods and materials will always be chosen in consultation with the student. I have worked in music schools with children and I have taught private lessons for 5 years dealing with people of all ages.
