I am originally from Palestine, Gaza. I speak three languages: Arabic, English, and French. I hold a bachelor's degree in English literature. After graduation, I have taught English for almost a year and a half as a full-time job before moving to Paris. I gave also online classes to non-Arabic speakers teaching them both: standard Arabic and Palestinian dialect. I moved to Paris in 2016 to pursue my studies. I have done a 2 years master's degree fully taught in English studying International Bussiness Management. Currently, I am doing another master's degree in Gender studies after deciding not to continue and work in the business domain. The classes will take place at my home, and I am flexible we can agree to meet somewhere else. First, I will ask to meet you, then evaluate your level and discuss what kind of skills we want to work on. According to our first meeting, I will develop an action plan that suits your level and for you to be able to see where are we going.

I am Yasmine, I am 22 years old and I start this year in particluiers courses. I am freshly graduated from a German License, I pass in Media and Culture Master, English specialty and I have a Brazilian mother, so I am completely bilingual: my thing is languages! Always comfortable and curious about travel and culture, I would love to awaken this desire in my students, revive it if they believed that their age travel and adventure was no longer possible. It's never too late to learn a language, NEVER, or to take the risk of going abroad, discovering new worlds ... I am naturally quiet and cheerful. I will never rush my students, nor will I teach them pages and vocabulary pages: we never learn better words and languages than when they enter our life through life itself and that's what we'll try to do ! Of course, some summaries of theoretical, grammatical and other bases can be vocabulary updates: to be calibrated according to the students. I already love this adventure!

While doing my Cambridge CELTA teacher training course, I progressed in the Communicative Language Teaching method. It is renowned globally as a leading language teaching methodology, and over the course of my career it has always proven to be highly effective, boosting the students' fluency and confidence in Speaking, as well as Vocabulary and Grammar. I usually begin a class with a short lead-in into the topic. Then I introduce a short text or a recording in order to work on the student's Listening and Reading skills. After we’ve worked on the text, I present the target sentences taken from it and highlight a particular Vocabulary or Grammar structure. After that, we work on the meaning of the target language, as well as its form and pronunciation. Afterwards, we do one or two written and oral exercises, called controlled practice, during which the student works on the Vocabulary / Grammar structure. I finish the class with a communicative task, such as personalised questions or a role-play, which are aimed at developing the student's fluency. I never interrupt the student while they speak, but I make notes on the errors / examples of good use of the target language. At the end of the lesson, I give the student the language feedback, and afterwards we discuss the techniques and strategies they can use to practise / review the target language independently. Je la privilégie toujours dans mes cours au vu de ces indéniables atouts, tels que l’efficacité et l’opportunité d’apprendre à utiliser la langue. C’est pour cette raison que mes cours finissent toujours par un exercice visant à développer la production orale, quel que soit votre niveau. Habituellement je commence mes cours avec un court texte ou un document sonore sur un sujet de la vie quotidienne où vous vous entraînez à la compréhension orale ou la compréhension écrite. Après cela, on découvre dans le texte ou le dialogue le vocabulaire ou la grammaire cible. Après cela, on travaille sur son signification, sa prononciation et ses modes d’emploi. Après, on fait 1 / 2 exercices écrits et orales en pratiquant le vocabulaire/la structure grammaticale apprise de manière surveillée. On termine par une tâche communicative, comme des questions ou le jeu de rôles où on pratique le vocabulaire de manière plus libre. Votre but principal lors de cette étape est de communiquer votre message et votre idée afin d’être compris plutôt de s’exprimer de façon grammaticalement parfaite. Je ne vous interrompe jamais pendant que vous parlez, mais je fais de notes sur des erreurs / des exemples de bon usage de la langue cible. A la fin du leçon je vous donne du feedback et après on discute avec vous sur les techniques et les astuces pour pratiquer / réviser les structures apprises de manière autonome.
