Trusted teacher: SPECIALISED IN TEACHING ADULTS. Would you like to learn one of the instruments which have more style possibilities? Would you like to know why many composers say that is a very powerful instrument because it fits in may situations? Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet? One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge. Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation. You just need a precious element! • Music Theory I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean. I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. Maybe you are an adult who always wanted to improvise but doesn’t know where to start...? The only thing you need is a good organization -which I can provide- to reach any goal!

Trusted teacher: I have years of experience with ESL and have taken multiple courses training myself in the best ways to tutor in ESL. I am happy to teach all ages. I currently teach several adults and numerous younger students. I specialize in students who have recently moved to the Netherlands and have little to no experience with English. I apply a hybrid method of ESL and school curriculum. After working for four years as a private tutor in Amsterdam for numerous international families, I have discovered a love for teaching Adult ESL. My goal is to not only to teach ESL tailored to life in the Netherlands, but to also offer advice and support to expat adults around life in Amsterdam. I currently work with the parents of many of my students who wish to improve their English. I am a former primary school teacher (International School of Choueifat-Dubai) who now works exclusively as a private tutor. My students are mainly expats, though I also do have several local Dutch students. Having moved around quite a bit, I understand the stress families undergo adapting to a new school system. After four year in Amsterdam, I also now understand the unique stress parents also endure adapting to Dutch culture and regular use of the English language. My teaching methods focus on improving Adult ESL that is tailored specifically to life in the Netherlands. I design my teaching plans, with my students, to cover the most essential aspects of English that are needed to navigate life in Amsterdam. Moreover, I have a deep understanding of how English in the Netherlands differs from conversational English in other countries. I have a grasp of the nuances of both languages and the areas which pose particular difficulty. I really enjoy the motivation of my adult students and the unique friendships I have formed through teaching. I know how isolated some parents who are neither native English nor Dutch speakers feel when moving to Amsterdam. I am happy to teach all ages either in person or via webcam. **All rates include 21% KVK sales tax

Trusted teacher: I offer piano lessons for adults and children, tailored to your goals and preferences. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted in English, German and Russian. I teach piano at home in Vienna’s 3rd district and online on a beautiful Yamaha piano. I have a full class of 13 students. Each semester, I organize a recital. If they wish, even my online students can take part through a live stream :) I am an award-winning pianist in international competitions, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (BA), and currently a student at the Anton Bruckner University in Austria (MA). I have developed my own teaching methodology, which varies depending on the student's age, skill level, and preferences. With extensive teaching experience for both adults and children, I have completed pedagogical practice and a piano teaching methodology course at the Moscow Conservatory. I teach beginners from scratch, prepare school students for exams, competitions, concerts, and entrance exams. Additionally, I teach solfeggio, music theory, ear training, rhythm development, hand positioning, and stage performance skills. I work on both classical repertoire and any pieces the student desires. I create custom arrangements for my students, including simplified versions of difficult pieces. My online setup makes the lessons feel just like in-person: I use a tripod to demonstrate my hands and provide an online screen display for sheet music. After each lesson, I send video tutorials for clear, visual examples.

I am delighted to have Elena as French tutor for my 2 daughters. They recently started French (S2 and P5 in the European School) never having done it before and with the expectation in school.that they reach a high standard very quickly. Elena is not only an excellent teacher but she is also very encouraging and patient and makes the lessons enjoyable. With Elena's help, my daughters are finally enjoying learning French ! I've received feedback from their teachers that their participation in class and their motivation to learn has improved - and this is after only 1 week ! . Thanks Elena :)

We had our first session a few days ago, with Alessandra tutoring my 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter, developing their reading and writing in English and their mathematics. Alessandra's previous experience as a teacher certainly shines through, as she definitely seems to know how children of this age learn. She provided original and exciting activities for the kids and they found it great fun; they are looking forward to seeing her again next week. Alessandra was professional to work with and I can definitely recommend her.

French Horn (modern/historical) and Music Theory with a professional (The Hague)

Nicolas has a friendly approach in his horn teaching backed by his high professional standard with very good ears. His feedback is to the point and focused on building up in small steps for long term improvements. His lesson on resuming practice after a break was very useful, which I’m sure will benefit me repeatedly in future. He also very kindly helped me look for a mouthpiece and instrument, which again was very useful. If/when face to face becomes possible, I’d love to get lessons on historical horn from him!
