After completing a classical study of the cello at a conservatory, I later focused exclusively on improvisation with this instrument. As a classically trained cellist I can work with you on two tracks; improving and/or maintaining a solid basic technique and gradually learning the improvisation aspect. By focusing on these two 'levels', insight is created into the instrument that will help develop improvisation skills in order to continue to grow as an instrumentalist and as an improviser. Mathias

Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano, but you have no idea how? I would be happy to help you in a unique way! I am Mike, a professional pianist specialized in classical music. I obtained a master's degree in classical piano and a master's degree in chamber music from LUCA school of arts in Leuven. I have been passionately teaching young and old for several years now. In addition, I still invest time in studying new works and techniques. That is why I am still very active in performing as a musician. I am convinced that this increases the quality of teaching. My vision as a teacher is that everyone is different and everyone deserves their own personal lesson plan. By drawing up an individual lesson plan for each student, I have experienced that the fastest result is achieved. Whether you have a lot of time or a little time, are young or old or just love Bach, Einaudi or Elton John, my goal is to find a suitable plan for you. In my classes we create together: - a lesson rhythm that suits you best - the ability to fluently read notes and/or letter chords - a strong technical base - an efficient study method - a very broad musical development Still in doubt? Don't hesitate to send me a message for more information!

What images and ideas come to your mind when you see a harp or hear its sounds? Maybe you think of the angels flying in the sky with a harp in their hands. Maybe you have the image of musicians in ancient temples getting into a trance as they played music with great reverence and devotion to their deities. Maybe you think of princesses and royal ladies playing their harps and spending a nice afternoon together in the luxurious music room of a castle. The harp is often associated with beauty and elegance, and this is what I would like to share with you in my harp and classes. I will teach you to play a wide range of repertoire, from traditional Celtic and Welsh tunes to well-known classics such as Pachelbel's "Canon in D", Disney songs, Christmas songs (such as "Mary, Did You Know?" by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene), and music for various ceremonial occasions such as weddings. I want my harp classes to be a relaxing and delightful experience of enchantment after a busy week at work or school.

I've been playing the piano since I was 10. But at the music academy I learned piano in a very scholastic way. We always had to learn scores, which you spend a lot of time on, and once you could do it perfectly, you already had to switch to another piece. I got tired of this and started improvising. I now make my own songs and I prefer to play the piano more than ever before. I would like to share this with other people as well. I do this in combination with solfège, so that everyone has the basics. The lessons consist of 70-80% solfège and piano pieces (I work with piano books) and then we conclude with 20-30% improvisation. Improvisation is experienced by all my students as the most enjoyable part of the lesson.
