Maths Tutoring (High School): Lets multiply your skills and divide your fears.

I am a qualified Secondary School Teacher in South Africa with a degree in Computers.
I'd like to assist people, making maths easier, taking the mystery out, step by step building up to the final goal, matric and beyond. Naturally challenging the students/learners on a gradient manageable to the individual, to reach their full potential.

My teaching style focuses on first understanding the knowledge gaps. Taking learners them from what they Do Know, building on that, bridging the gaps ... to what they don't know, by supplying the "scaffold."
Aiming to achieving competence and confidence with time.
I don't like the idea of spoon feeding, but rather let's activate the mind, imagination and internal motivation - and bring the learner up to speed, and then onto confidence.
My expectation is naturally, I must first put in the preparation upfront.
Hand that over in a calm, unstressed, yet motivated environment.
And the learner needs to likewise be serious on their part, run the extra mile to achieve deep life long learning.
